Quoted from rubberducks:

Still not sold on the art style, but that looks WAY better.

Ha, and my first reaction was oh gawd no that looks horrible, original way better. Opinions. because.. pinside.

Isn't the map a relief map?

Looks like elevation contours to me. The future is evidently an island.

KT did confirm for me with Scott that the shaker and knocker will be plug and play so easy to add later. I'm a knocker guy so will definitely add one after getting my machine, #95 I'm told.

Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

Don't get me wrong, female voices are cool, but IMO robot voices are better

female robots == best

Quoted from LIONwoMAN:

Sorry, it's only in black right now. There were only a couple grey made and they are gone

Wait, what? there are TNA tank tops?

#2688 6 years ago

Awesome, thanks! Tank and tee ordered (I won't say which one is for me lol

#2912 6 years ago
Quoted from Fortytwo:

People keep talking numbers for game orders. And I agree good gauge in interest. Last we heard in batch 4 (150-200). I'm curious about non game interest also. I wonder how many shirt sales there have been from pinball life. That should be a good measure as to how many support the game. But may not be able to afford it.

Machine #95 coming to me, t-shirt and tank arrived 2 days ago and the much better looking one and I are both wearing them today.

#2946 6 years ago

That would be cool on my Golden Arrow, but sadly it's a 1 player game

#3199 6 years ago

Thanks for the info Scott! Should fit in nicely with my row of Gottlieb system 1 machines, just measured Joker Poker and it is 71" to top of backbox the way I have it setup.

#3272 6 years ago

1 down, only 94 more to go to get to me at #95

but who's counting

You can say lionman in this thread, b/c it’s part of the game

but can you say LIONMAN!!!!!!!

#95 here, so looking forward to it.. next year

#4187 6 years ago

my System 3 is set to 3 ball and my system 1's are set to 5 ball, don't know what I'd do with a system 80?

Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:

Just added a new feature. If you destroy a reactor, it will award you 1 single point along with your reactor destroyed value. This way we will be able to track by looking at people's scores how many reactors they destroyed during their games. I am excited about this feature.

Ha, that pic reminded me and I went digging through the closet. Now I'm ready! Ready for my game to come too

seems more control on that I think. Oh, and oh so close on that last game.

Super exclusive ad from the Pinside Marketplace!
#4718 6 years ago

was it two extra balls in that game? I didn't keep a scorecard.

#4740 6 years ago
Quoted from KingPinGames:

they are being worked on and should be available shortly.

Any idea if we would be able to just get the grill/covers and not the lights?

didn't get any specific on ship time frame but got the invoice for #95 this morning.

Quoted from Lamprey:

Finally got a chance to play TNA last night at my local arcade. Overall a fun game. I hate to make a comparison, but it kind of reminds me a bit of the new Star Wars in that it's pretty fast and furious with out a major bash toy (i.e. Groot). Sound is really good. Nice light show. I like how the video display integrates the theme by being fuzzed out and blurry at times.
Having watched game play videos prior to playing, I knew what the game was about. Obviously ball control is important in any game. But I think in "fan" layouts you can sometimes get away with just cycling the ball up to the top and still make shots. Where as with TNA you really need to try and get the ball under control or it'll drain fast. Kind of a controlled mayhem with you will.
The only thing I didn't really care for was the way the ball lock holds the balls between players, so that if you lock two balls and then drain the next player only needs to lock one ball for multi-ball. Not a big deal, just something I don't care for. Also, I doubt I'd ever destroy all nine reactors, but I find it a bit odd that the game ends if you should destroy them all. Now I wonder what strategies will come out for "point pressing" before you hit, what is in arcade terms, the kill screen??
Again a fun game. Hopefully, everyone that ordered one will enjoy it!

Wait.. when did they get one down at 8-bit? dang, I know what I'm doing when i get back to town.

Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

Coming VERY soon!!! I promise. Parts are all finally here and we just need to get the kits assembled.
MGC this weekend, and we'll get after it early next week.

Are you going to offer just the grills without the lights? i don't necessarily want the lights but wouldn't mind some nice looking speaker covers.

#5664 5 years ago
Quoted from Anonymouse:

I assume you can get them and just not plug them in

Well I could, but was hoping to save a few bucks, if I buy the lights they will be plugged in. It would also be easy enough to design my own grills.

Mine fires with extra balls, but it may be a setting to do so.

Quoted from lpeters82:

Ain't that the truth. My friends and I joke about just starting over when the "D" is randomly selected.

Mostly if I'm in multiball at the time I just start wailing on the other destroy targets and after 20 "misses" it changes it to something else if I haven't accidentally hit it by then.. at least I think 20 is the default. Scott has denied weighting the randomness of the "D".

#6427 5 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

seriously... is there a bug?
I have never seen it beat on any game.
Is it really just number of pop hits in a game?

As far I know it is just the number of pop hits, mine now has my initials (don't know the number at the moment I'm on vacation.. miss TNA

#6435 5 years ago

I'm pretty sure mine have stacked, that's how I have mine setup as well and I get both.. I think.

I think I was talking about 301, but mentioned that it could be a possibility that if 501 sold, we should do something cool for it.

I'm thinking with those two numbers is should have something to do with darts...

Shortly after I got off the phone with the shipping company, I got a text from their automated system that said Friday delivery was an option.
I promptly called them back and said yes please.
It was then that the evil phone lady crushed my dreams and told me that the texting machine is a house of lies!
Still scheduled for Monday.

longest weekend ever...

Quoted from megalo17:

Which lane do you shoot for? I like the furthest left lane.
Besides the reactor 3 EB and replay EB (if you so choose), are there any other EB’s?

I like the second from the left lane. reactor 6 gives an EB as well, but I think that's it.

#6765 5 years ago
Quoted from rai:

10-12 games played at VUK.
Was a lot of fun but then I got DI and AFM LE and I wondered if I’ll get into a game with no modes and no ramps.
For example AFM is fairly simple playing along but then it’ll go into Martian attack mode and the game changes character, or it’ll have main multiball and leave me striving for the super jackpot shot.

For example, TNA is going along ball flying all over the place, music pounding, get balls locked and then multiball starts with more balls flying all over the place and then you go into reactor critical mode, lights are flashing, shaker is shaking the shit out of the house, everything goes red, your hitting jackpots going for the 4th ball you blow the reactor and shit goes nuts and I'm striving for the next reactor.. whew, I'm tired and hearts pounding just reliving it, well ok I just finished game on the machine, it kicked my ass as usual and I loved every second of it.

I love AFM (and that LE is sweet) and hope to maybe own one someday it's a blast, TNA is a blast, a different blast, it's not ramps that makes AFM fun, ramps are cool, but hardly mandatory for fun. just my opinion man.

It's here! #250! What slope are people setting these at? IE What is normal....Not insane

bolts all the way in is a good starting point, not sure what angle that makes though.

Quoted from FatPanda:

You have to drill to mount the coil and the striker plate for the knocker. The screws aren't self tapping.
I can't remember if you have to drill to install tee nuts for the shaker motor.

I had to drill for the shaker motor, others have said they did not.
