I played TNA for the first time today. Had it all to myself at Ayce Gogi for a couple hours when they opened up. Such a great game and I am #71.
There is only one thing that is a bummer with the game. The viewing angle of the display is horrible. It could be solved by having the display tilted back 10 or 15 degrees. It gets so washed out.. maybe an option for a higher quality display with a wider viewing angle? oh well. Minor gripe. The game is badass.
#71 shipped today!
Question, Are people replacing the flipper springs with a different spring? I just want to be prepped for if/when those things break.
They seem to be. Sounds like they changed the springs they are using now, so hopefully moving forward it won't be an issue.
Quoted from kermit24:Throw an EM in there and you could make one hell of a Pinburgh bank!
I have to go in the other room for that.
I have some constructive criticism. Same crits as I had with RZ. These games are louder than any other games I have owned.
1: The power supply fan is loud. I can see how this is not a big deal in an arcade/bar, but in a home environment it is really annoying here that sound when every other machine is silent. This is not a huge deal.. it is just a detail that would be greatly appreciated being addressed moving forward if possible.
2: Flipper coils sound like they are outside the cabinet. Not sure if every other pinball machines just have a tighter seal on the cabinet keeping most of that sound in. Again, these are not deal breakers at all on buying Spooky games, but things that stand out in a home environment. I am going to experiment with some sound deadening foam to lessing the flippers and the fan noise. I will post my results.
Love this brutal game!
Quoted from jar155:How does it compare to newer Stern games? My GBLE was really loud, and my Dialed IN is fairly loud too. I don't notice at all during play, just between games, however.
I have not had any Spike games so I can't compare.
Quoted from Russell:Got it!
I have not installed mine yet. did you have to take the head off or just one hinge for the side you were working on?
Can we talk about the reasoning for using flippers without EOS switches? The way this game is being played is involving a whole bunch of holding the right flipper for catching and trapping and it gets weak fast. I have experienced this at home, and really really badly on location.
Will give that a try. Do you thing that will be enough juice to keep the flipper up with a hit from the scoop eject?
