I love the look but don't know if I could justify 1k especially if I won't see the sides that often because it's between two other pins.

#1930 6 years ago
Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

Completely understandable.

Do we know if there will be any other upgrades besides the cabinets?

Plastic protectors?
Side art?

Can't wait for this game!

Any update as to when production will start?

#2204 6 years ago
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

Games WILL SHIP in 2017... all we are saying for now.

Works for me. Thanks Charlie. Can't wait to get it in my basement.

#2207 6 years ago
Quoted from wantdataeast:

I seems like everyone gets pissed when people say something negative about a new project. So I guess get ready to down vote this post.
First of all I respect anyone in the industry trying to produce new games.
Secondly, I do not buy new sterns (and will not until my collection is filled with far superior 90's Bally Williams titles that are available at the same price or less on the secondary market TZ, Monterbash, Indian Jones, etc.) So take my opinion with a very large grain of sale. I will not buy this new... just like i would not by a new pro stern.
I watched the video and: The repetitive music reminded me of something out of an 80's porn movie. The video of a cityscape fly by was pointless and distracting. The game play looked no more interesting that anything produced from 1985 to 1990. I kept fast forwarding through the video waiting for the Nuclear Annihilation to occur, but I guess I missed it. It seems pretty anti-climatic. I am assuming at one point we see the annihilation; but consider a game like Gottlieb's Genesis where you build the arms and legs of Maria. And then after all of that the climax of the game is the robot is final shown... Yawn. The feeling left is: Is that it?
I realize that this is a white board in an early stage of production but the concept, seems far inferior to Spookys other pins (Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Americas most haunted)
I am really not sure why a new pinball manufacture would take advantage of themes that are in the public domain that have a cult following.. Like War of the Worlds, or Sherlock Holmes, Something from classic sci-fi literature Jules Vernes, HG Wells, etc.
Or even a lesser license theme...how about classic Lost in Space, Munsters, Addams Family, Outer Limits.

For the animation: I believe Scott has mentioned that the animations we have seen are placeholders and the newer animations are being worked on now that will fit with the recently revealed art work.

As for the music I believe there will be a different song for every nuclear reactor you are on.

And there is a sort of wizard mode that has been shown for when you finally destroy the 9th reactor.(Settings can be changed to reduce the number of reactors needed).

Scott mentioned on a Kaneda's and Coast 2 Coast podcasts that we should be seeing some new streaming of the game soon. Can't wait to see this thing play with the new artwork and new graphics on the LCD. Someone tell Jack danger to get over to spooky ASAP!

Quoted from FatPanda:

I'm cool with batch 4, except I haven't gotten word back from Joe (pinballstar) as to which batch I was since I sent the initial deposit. Granted it was over the weekend and I just sent an email last night. I just don't want it to be pushed off because it was forgotten or anything like that. Waiting until early 2018 is far enough

Joe will get back to you. I went through pinballSTAR and got my number. In on the 2nd batch, hope to get it this year.

TheNoTrashCougar question for you.

What happens when you hit the no hands skillshot when the reactor has already started? Normally it start the reactor right? Will there be something else that happens? Maybe max out the reactor value?

#3070 6 years ago
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:

I have not added in the ability for a reactor to cool back down when it is started. It should never be able to recover from being critical. I think it may be very hard if this started cooling so I never added it. Not in the cards for initial release, but I will consider it later on.

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

1 game down. Only 80 more to go until I get my game. Hopefully spooky starts cranking these out now!

#3273 6 years ago

Have anymore been made besides #1?

#3300 6 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

also, what did you decide the reactor standups will be used for?

Yes I'm curious about this as well.

#3308 6 years ago
Quoted from Fytr:

Oh gawd, are you telling me that TNA has unused targets, like the city inserts in Kiss? Say it isn't so!

I think that they accomplish the same as hitting a sling in the upper playfield area in terms of getting the reactor to melt down....i could be wrong though.

Looks like a pizza and pinball kinda day!
Six more wrapped up and ready to roll out the door right now... starting to get quicker now that the minions are sorting out the new system!

Go minions go!

#3767 6 years ago

Great to see these starting to roll out.

SpookyCharlie what number are we at now?

#3794 6 years ago

I want that on mine as well.

#3843 6 years ago

TheNoTrashCougar Will pinball life be making the speaker grills that Bryan has on his as well? The reason I ask is that I want both the mirror blades and speaker grills and dont want to double pay on shipping.

thanks! #81 here

#3854 6 years ago
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:

Very soon, I need to finish the code for them as these have interactive LEDs behind them.

Excellent! I will just wait for that to be released then and order both.

#4039 6 years ago
Quoted from Crile1:

My understanding is that you are notified approximately one month before your machine is planned to be ready to pay the remainder of your balance. At that time your bill is sent for review and last chance for any factory added parts (shaker, knocker, etc). At least, that is what she told me when I ordered. Kinda glad that I'm 151, that way all these new add-on parts will be available. Really looking forward to the interactive lighted speaker panels. Unfortunately, my TNA final price keeps increasing with all the cool stuff.

I was told around 2 weeks from when your build sheet is on the line. Curious what is the official time line.

#4051 6 years ago

Thanks for the update Charlie. All i want for Christmas is my TNA!

1 week later
#4116 6 years ago

looks like they should get to around 50 by the end of the year...

#4136 6 years ago
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

Small flood of games left yesterday... more leaving today. MOST if not all of the first 75 should be done by the 1st.
Numbers aren't always 100% accurate. We have 9 games done for Australia... later numbers are in there because it's crazy expensive to not ship them all at once. 3 went to Germany yesterday as well. Butter cabinets tend to get done in groups because of cure time / handling them with kid gloves.
More TnA leaving today! Always a few hiccups in early production and we're no different. Hired 2 new guys to speed things up in the last few weeks and off we go again.

Thanks for the update Charlie. What’s the number of games a week you guys are settling into? 8-10?

#71 for me. Sounds like it must be getting really close. Exciting.

Is yours on the line yet?

#4499 6 years ago

New week and hopefully a ton of new TNA's going out!

Anyone recently get their calls that the game is coming to them soon? I know numbers aren't fully in order but did anyone in the 70's get a call yet?

#4571 6 years ago

Didn't you read any of the last 2 dozen posts??!?!?!

jar155 What number are you?

#4580 6 years ago
Quoted from jonesjb:

Are any TNA machines coming up on route to play in New York City?

I hope to have mine next month(#81)and anyone can come over to play if they want. Live in port Washington NY which is a 35 minute ride from the city. Shoot me a PM and we can set something up.

#4606 6 years ago
Quoted from Crile1:

Rai does make a good point of the upper playfield (reactor core area) being under utilized. There are 3 targets there. Not sure what they are for. Could they maybe be used for something when the reactor is NOT lit? Like maybe hitting them helps solve the code faster or extend time for drops to stay down for jackpots during MB? Just brainstorming a bit. I'm not one to make code suggestions, and I love where the game is at, but rai does make a point.

If you complete the upper PF targets in order, then they max out the reactor core value.

#4671 6 years ago
Quoted from Borygard:

Unfortunately Lloyd, that great fix doesn't last for this game. Beefier springs are needed.

#5062 6 years ago

Did they give a time frame once the balance was paid? weeks ? days?
Thanks

I would say around 2 weeks from when you pay in full. That’s what mine was.

#5366 6 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

I just checked my records because I was curious, with all these OMG I CAN'T WAIT posts.
I reserved my TNA spot on July 28th 2017, $1000 down.
I paid in full February 8th 2018.
So even though I got in early I waited the same 6 months people are talking about. You don't want to do it? Don't. But those of us who have the game did it, so don't look for a lot of sympathy.

We all had to wait that is just part of the process. I put my $1000 down back in early August 2017 and didn’t get it until the first week of March 2018. Put the money down now and you will not regret it. Best NIB pinball machine I have ever bought.

#5454 6 years ago
Quoted from Fytr:

Dude, it already has a bunch of modes:
- complete the keypad mode
- shoot the left scoop to start reactor mode
- take the reactor critical mode
- blow the reactor mode
- plus the multiball jackpots are a hurry-up in that the targets will start to reset in a few seconds so you need to get the 2x, 3x, super quickly.

There is also the risk/reward of building up the reactor jackpot before you destroy it. Then before doing that get multiball going and try to get the super jackpot/add a ball, then destroy the reactor for 4x. Nothing better than that!

I probably average getting to reactor 2. My best was getting up to reactor 6 until last night. Had the game of my life and was one shot away from destroying reactor 8. Such a rush. Best game ever!

Quoted from tomdotcom:

I've had mine for a week plus now, and it's fn amazing. 10 out of 10 good. Just nothing else like it. The sounds, the lights, the rules, it's got it all. Anyone that is on the fence about getting one, just do it.
Any more code coming Scott? I'd love to see a High Score table for the co-op mode. My kids and their friends usually don't even care about pinball, but they're loving TNA, especially co-op.

I'd love to see a High Score Table for Co-Op as well!
