Here is the Scott interview!

http://www.head2headpinball.com/2018/01/08/episode-25-scott-danesi-has-a-roos-ballbag-karl-deangelo-does-not

A massive episode. We could have split it up into 2 episodes but we decided to keep it as one big fat one.
We interview Scott Danesi about his journey with TNA. What he has been up to since the machine start production, whats in the upcoming update, the music, and future plans. We also chat about Kangaroo testicles.

We are giving away a SIGNED copy of the TNA cassette, details on how to enter are in the podcast.

Then we interviewed Karl DeAngelo who is one of the busiest guys in pinball with his involvement with IE pinball, critical hit cards and the INDISC tournament happening this weekend!

If you don't want to hear me and Martymainframe talk crap about pinball the Scott interview starts at around 10 minutes and 46 seconds in!

Quoted from Cheeks:

Could you share your settings?

After double checking mine, I've got it set for 6 1/2 degrees.

Left and right lower flippers are 25. The flipper in the core is 20.

Left and right lower slings are 7. The slings in the core are 6.

All the other coils are left at factory settings.

#4353 6 years ago

Set up and a couple quick games to check it out. Very impressed! An exceptionally different and well integrated game. Keeps you wanting to press the start button. Light show, shaker and display well integrated without one dominating the other. Looking forward to more time on this one.

#4354 6 years ago

Noticed an issue with two digit display in core. Fine in boot up, but in attract and game mode there are 3 segments that are erratic. Second digit, the two left vertical bars and the centre bar. Emailed Christopher at service had first response in 10 min! Impressive. Have replied, don’t expect response until tomorrow due to time of day. Will keep posted.

Might be a loose ribbon cable between the green PD-LED board and the Black dual numeric digit display. Actually, that is probably exactly what it is.

Scott, nice to see the game creator on here to help out on this! Thank you for that. Here is the info I can provide to you:

-reseated ribbon cables both ends
-swapped the displays with no change
-all segments are lit on boot up, it starts incorrect display in attract/game play mode
-in test menu the segments marked as 12-17 for that display do not light individually

Hope this helps.

if display swap yielded same result, ribbon cable or board perhaps?

The ribbon cable is plugged into the wrong header on the green PD-LED board. Try a different one, there is only a couple open ones. I dont have the docs in front of me at the moment.

Yep, and Scott kicks ass! Fixed! Two plugs were reversed. All up and running! Thanks again! For making this game possible and the tech support.

Adding now, playing for third time for high score #4. Nice and 2 Reactors too. The deeper you go the better it gets!

Sorry for the double post as I already put this in the other TNA thread...

OK guys, I just put up the new Accessory power supply for TNA up on the PBL website. Although this in not an official spooky sanctioned product, it will allow you to safely plug in mods to the game without touching the 12v or 5v supply on the game which reduces the risk of breaking something. It even has outputs that use the standard 3 pin Molex connectors that all modders are used to so you can plug in things like lit flipper buttons, etc. Please use responsibly.

Anyone know what batch number of TNA's they are on ?

#4363 6 years ago

#54 being picked up tomorrow at Spooky.

Quoted from 2Kaulitz:

According to the club thread #50 is picking up his game tomorrow. So, guess just now moving into batch 2. I know operators got theirs first and some people who took them to shows. Hope we are at the point of just going by numbers now.

From Charlie on Dead Flip's BBB stream (22:50 in):

22:50 SpookyPinball:Dirty secret... Kayte is helping move some of the location guys up to help spread the love for TnA.

Then, later in the stream (starting at 46:16):

46:16 rasavage4:@spookypinball - have you started on #100+ tna yet?

46:48 SpookyPinball:@rasavage4 Next batch of parts.

So, there's still some waiting left.

Yep I picked up #54 today . There was a few more games that were boxed up ready to ship also. They had a bunch of cabinets that were assembled and decaled (around 25) . And a bunch of TNAs in various stages of production , with some looking very near completion . There was 2 with the direct print butter cabinets that I saw being put togather . Production of this game seems to be going real good at this point .

I'm #57...getting close!

#4371 6 years ago

TNA representing at INDISC this weekend. It was in the modern bank.

After the Comp, Nimblepin and I had a couple of games with Jonny Modica, he got 5 reactors down and I think I got 3 (or 2 completed and 1 started, cant remember)

It didn’t have the new software with the tell-tale digit on the end.

Jesus Christ, are my eyes really tired or is this guy fucking huge? Looks like he's playing a video minicab.

Congrats Tom. That means I'm less than 10 machines away!

Jonny is a solid dude ... remember that the TNA is in a Bally 77-80 size cabinet too, so they are a little smaller than your usual WPC or Stern.

He only has room for Melody.

No, my friend Dave picked it up for me. He does business with Spooky and was going to be there so good timing.

Melody is a shock liability...

I am going to have my lawyer draw up paperwork in advance, lol.

I think he fixed that but not sure. Need to be careful.

I have not played my TNA yet. It was so cold when I brought it in last night I didn’t want to risk stressing it out. Will get some attention today though.

#4387 6 years ago

#71 for me. Sounds like it must be getting really close. Exciting.

My wife says #60 is in the garage. It's so easy to come down with a cold this time of year.

I'm not a doctor, however I did watch a tv show about a doctor once. Based on my diagnosis, you should take the rest of the day off. Can't be to careful this time of year...

Is yours on the line yet?

#4392 6 years ago

Remember patient pinball dudes & dudettes... game numbers are a bit misleading. Butter cabinets get run in batches, overseas games have to go together, and some pinball show / operator games line jumped a bit to help get more games where people can play them (like INDISC).

Just inspected and cleared 4 more games this morning!

since they are producing games out of order, how about a numerical grid. they could highlight each given serial number in a different color depending on the stage of production, then cross them off when they are shipped.

I understand the idea for building machines out of order but this benefits everyone except the people being skipped. There should be a free set of target decals or a copy of the soundtrack for every machine number that was skipped, provided by whoever is jumping.
