Me too. Great so far.

I hope they don't reveal any more until the game is done. I'm super pumped about this game, but I don't want to endure the Pinside group-think over every detail along the way. They've shown enough to tease it and people can determine if it's their vibe or not. Now they should go away, make the game (quickly), and come back with a full reveal. Then people can like it or not, and buy it or not, as a complete package.

I like the art work. I showed it to my 10 year old son and he asked "Overwatch Pinball game?!"

I have to keep my opinions to myself on this one....really not digging that backglass, I actually thought it was a joke. The game is brilliant , definitely going to wait to see the final product.

I was also not initially a fan, but have to see how the whole package comes together. At least it's better than DI (does that sound like faint praise)? In the end the pin will be done however they like and any bitching will just bring thumbs down.

It's not as if they ask would you rather have this or that style. It sounds like it is what it is going to be kind of like GOT pro or AcDc premium you have to accept what it is. I don't love AcDc backglass art but the pin itself is great.

I'll agree. It not that it is bad artwork or that it is not well made. It's that the girl in the image doesn't match any of the current display animations or the 80's feel I thought he was going for. But I'll also agree to wait to see what the whole package will look like.

Edit: I was expecting more Heavy Metal style artwork.

Looks cool, I dig the cyberpunk look. Curious to see what the play field art will look like, particularly in the big space at the top with all the rollovers.

I never expected that rather contrasting art look/style from the music I heard in the game play vids. Looking forward to more of the art reveal. It will be interesting to see where it goes; everyone had a blank slate when conceptualizing the art from this pin that otherwise had strongly developed elements.

I wonder how that art will fit with current LCD screen and LED's? Are they getting rid of LED score displays?

That playfield design is really nice. Glad to see these new designers and engineers stepping up and leading the way. This game and Archer are just the beginning!

Backglass looks awesome in person; muddy screencap doesn't do it justice. For me the art style matches the music perfectly, but to each his own. I think people are going to be impressed when the whole package is revealed.

Looks OK, but wish it had more of a dark synth wave look to it to match the music. But whatevs, man, arm-chair quarterbacking. Looking forward to seeing the rest of it.

Yes , what Yancy said. I think Matt Andrews got the art just how Scott imagined it would be . The backglass looks awesome and fits the music and theme very nicely . I also think when the whole package is shown and the game is complete people will be impressed . All the art , music and animations will all go very nicely togather . Scott is seeing his vision of what he wants this game to be through to the end and I trust it will be awesome. Can't wait to have a production version of this game in my house .

I know there is a ton of good art out there when it comes to games but has anyone seen a better collection than that of "Fallout"? It's so cool there is an actual coffee table book on it. I love that style.

Let's face it guys, this will be a HUO game, why not give it some edge.......It's too cartoony. Many good suggestions here. Do one Playfield art package, but do multiple translite renderings.

I was kind of expecting an updated version of this. Obviously this is unique but this kind of edgy style.

This is a member of the community, making his own game, and *some* (not all!) of you are just walking in and shitting on his front lawn with some of these comments. If this was your friend making this game would you tell him to read these comments? Do you think it would make him feel good?

Scott is my friend. Someone who's put so much of his heart and soul into pinball, who has a vision for a game, that he's executing and utterly excited about. His vision was always for a brightly colored game. If that's not for you then so be it, that's fine. He's loving the art. I've seen more than some of you, and I love it too. I'm excited for the whole package reveal.

You don't have to like it. You can even say so. But he's right here reading all this, would you say these things to his face? Maybe just be a little polite about it at least.

Maybe stop and think for 5 seconds before you hit post, and just ask yourself if you're being a jerk. Trust me, it's not fun to read people doing this to you, and there's no reason to subject him to it if you actually care about the community and people sharing their work.

there are many examples of strong/heroic female leads Sarah Connor T2, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Alice Resident Evil, Black Widow, several Star Wars characters, Katniss Hunger Games (etc.)
