Quoted from Fytr:

Interesting. On my game one of the displays will drop out during a game about 1/4 of the time on multiplayer games. After you added the display reset at end of game I assumed it was “normal”. But is it?

That is not normal. That is a failsafe that restarts the displays in case of a glitch so you dont lose your scores. Check the wiring and wiggle it a bit and see if there is a flaky connection on the display modules.

Will do. I just thought it was “bad programming”!

Just got my final payment email for game #327!

#6804 5 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

I've got the front levelers all the way in with no nut, and the rear ones have a little less than half inch thread showing on top.

Yes, but o-dins house leans a little to the west, so take that into account

Did you get yours from a distributor?

I'm curious of the same - I'm #261 and haven't seen an e-mail on final payment (yet).

Only because the LCD looks good from that angle. JK nobody actually can see it while they're playing

Nice! That video's gonna be even more valuable when he wins Pinburgh (or whatever eclipses it in the meantime) in 2038!

JK? Emoticon! Emoticon!

Got it through Pinballstar.

Me Too. Got my email requesting Final Payment from Joe. #328 Landing in Texas sooner than later I hope.

#6812 5 years ago

You guys butter cab? I'm #315 ordered directly from Spooky and haven't received any email requesting final payment yet. Crossing fingers this is a sign it's coming soon.

#6813 5 years ago

Just paid the final invoice for #298. How long does it take from here?

#6814 5 years ago

Just paid invoice #296 as well! Can’t wait!

Quoted from roddog:

Couple weeks maybe.

#6816 5 years ago

#292 Paid in full

#6817 5 years ago

So are we on the 300's or closing in? 337 is starting to feel closer! I'm guessing sometime in Oct.? Wonder if I ordered through a distro instead of direct if I would've gotten mine quicker.?

That all depends on when the distributor ordered.

So this will be my first NIB pin. Are people putting mylar on the playfield to protect these? What are the thoughts on that? I ordered the 9 piece plastic protector set installed by Spooky, even though I'm not sure exactly what that is.

Quoting myself by way of follow-up. #261 now paid in full. I was invoiced a couple of days ago. Shipment is looking like EOW next week.

Congrats on your purchase! If it is HOU then you don't need to protect the playfield or anything like that. Just keep it clean and wax it based on how much you play it. If you had it on route and want to keep it in great condition for years to come then I would suggest getting a playfield protector for it but when its in your home only being played an hour here and there then there is no need. I got the plastic protectors as well. They look really nice under the plastics. They protect your plastics from cracking/breaking. They are installed underneath the plastics and stick out a little bit then the regular plastics do so that if a ball were to hit the plastic edge it will hit the clear protector first and not hit the main plastic. You will get quite a few air balls in this game so they are good to have. I only have them in this game. My opinion is that you don't need them. If a plastic breaks I am sure you can just pick up that one piece.

They may be over the original plastics not under. I don't know....but they will "protect" your plastics so youre all good.

I would never put mylar on a new game. I'm in the same boat as you with this being my first NIB. I just vacuumed, important because there was some factory dust on the playfield, and waxed. Also as with any game regularly check your balls for any signs of rust. Nothing will destroy a playfield like it.

Don’t do it. Break that sucker in and enjoy it. Life is too short to try and make it some kind of museum piece. Let it live the life it was created to live!

I'm at the point where TNA is looking like the pin for my collection. I'm most impressed with the team play. That's something I contacted Stern about, they have it in setting but not used. I'm also liking to old school look with the new technology. I'm guessing I should hurry up and find one to play and get on list. What say you. Plus or minus. Thanks

Is there anyway to reset the high scores without doing a factory reset?

I brought the game to the Cleveland Pinball Show this weekend and want to reset the high scores when I bring it back to its location.

Scott said the only way to currently do it is by resetting the audits. Unfortunately, this also resets the audits (duh). He is going to add this in a future update.

Yeah, unfortunately, this is the only way. Luckily, this does not reset your settings, just the audits. For some reason, I thought this was acceptable when I first built the service menu, but looking at it now, there absolutely needs to be a way to reset just the high scores. Sorry about that.

Two items to consider in a future TNA update:

1.) When aborting a mission, keep the left gate open so the ball goes all the way around the orbit instead of into the reactor. Mission would abort faster.
2.) Ability to start a new game sooner after game has ended. Keep the adrenaline pumping!

#6832 5 years ago

What do you mean by abort a mission?

that is when you continually buy a spot in line but then sell the game before it arrives

Holding the start button to end your game.

I'll admit it I also tent to restart games when I'm playing alone and have a terrible first ball. With TNA, I short plunge before restarting to avoid the time of it falling through the reactor, spitting out the scoop, and finally settling. It sound dumb, but yeah it would be quicker to restart if the orbit opened. Perhaps that's not the goal though.

Not the goal. Just an oversight on my part. I added it to the list.

Cool! Dumb question...Out of curiosity, is there a certain amount of time programmed between the end of the ball save display and the end of the actual ball save? Feels like there is about a second or two on most games, but I figured you would know for sure on TNA.

yes. Most any game that have a ball save will have a grace period after light or timer goes out.
