Getting closer!
Wonder if they’d just let me pick it up at the destination terminal.

If you call spooky and have them call r and l to release it you should be able to.

I picked up my Rob Zombie from the R&L destination terminal, so it's definitely possible.

BladeFury that looks awesome!

I did the same as scheduling delivery just wasn't working out. R+L was very friendly and helpful at terminal.

Couldn’t add a photo in my reply PM on my phone so I’m adding them to the thread for Muskie82 that asked about Mylar protection around the post right of the scoop.

Definitely, but this time order two of them. One to sell and one to play.

New pinball day!

Nothing to do but sit around and wait for the mailman. The shippers gave me the super convenient time window of 9-5, I think they're in cohoots with the cable company.

Time to go stare out the window

Quoted from BladeFury:

So as you might have seen I did a test run doing all the armor in plasti-dip to see if I liked it...took all the plasti-Dip off and sold it because I got a butter cabinet this time. Went the permanent route this time with gloss black powder coat. I think it turned out awesome..I think the games colors pop even more! Enjoy
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Mmm...love the blacked out look. I agree, the colors really pop.

#6664 5 years ago

Every machine I have had delivered was always first in the truck
Which makes it last stop of the day at 5 to 5:30
Good luck waiting around.

Is it normal that the siren won't move in the coil test but works in the game? Also what's it supposed to do in attract mode? It doesnt seem to do anything. Thanks

Mine does it. I turned it off because I can hear the beacon (like a box of rocks tumbling) without any other sound on.

Really none of my business... but...
You have made many, many, many post stating how excited you are to be getting this pin and how great it is...
Then to sell it the very second you got it...
Were all those posts made just to pump up your sale?

#6683 5 years ago

Just got word #250 ships tomorrow. Only thing I’m going to do with it is open it, setup it up and play the heck out of it.

I drove 30 mins to pick it up at the destination hub, drove it 45 mins to his house, helped him unload it, moved it down a flight of stairs, set it up... for less than $150.

You’re right though... really none of your business.

#6685 5 years ago

I just got my e-mail yesterday on confirming my options, as well. It's interesting to see the number spread going on (with #259 being called for payment, me being #261 and for those of you guys in the 290's getting confirmed for options all happening nearly simultaneously). Seems like we're at the beginning of a new batch of builds!

#6686 5 years ago

Sweet. I think I’m very close to a phone call.

Hot Pinball Action!

#6688 5 years ago

Thanks for the updates! 452 here and it’s still in a galaxy far far away. It will be worth the wait. Had to go play it at Portal Pinball in Atlanta last weekend to get my fix.

Is it butter? Mine is a no-butter, #245, and it shipped yesterday. Hoping to get it Monday or Tuesday.

#6693 5 years ago

I'm #272 and confirmed my options a couple days ago. Pretty cool that Spooky is moving right along on the production line. So far, it's been a great experience working with them (Kayte).

Is the flipper gap wider in TNA then traditional games or even other spooky games like Rob Zombie.....or am I imagining it?

are you 100% sure?

On the subject of playing better/smarter...The hands free skillshot is incredibly important to hit as it will reward you with a ball save AND start the reactor (assuming ball doesn't jump the scoop on its way out) without needing to shoot the grid.

One thing I didn't know until somewhat recently is that you can lane change the active rollover BEFORE you plunge and still get the full skillshot. For the longest time I'd incorrectly assumed changing the lane at anytime reduced it to the "normal" skillshot (ball save only). Unsurprisingly, I've found I'm much more likely to hit the full skillshot if I always target the same lane.

This small tweak to my play makes it more likely that I get to reactor 3, which on my game awards an extra ball. And thus overall, more likely that I get to reactor 4/5 in an average "solid" game (no house balls, hitting my shots, etc).
