Can someone with TNA speaker lights post a short vid of them interacting with the game? Or link me to a vid if you know of one?

Thank you.

#6305 5 years ago

Well, I finally unboxed #161 today. Laid it down on my carpet and heard four balls roll down the playfield and in to the trough. Not exactly a sound I was expecting. I'm guessing mine was the last to be inspected for the batch. You'd think they would've heard the sound when tipping it up to put it in the box. Only think that I've found broken so far is the plastic at the rear of the playfield (see pic) and a couple of LED's aren't working. I also found a couple of miscellaneous screws laying at the bottom of the cabinet. No idea where they go. Everything else seems to work, but I'll look at the whole thing closer tomorrow.20180610_152346 (resized).jpg20180610_152346 (resized).jpg

Broken plastic out of the box... that’s a bummer. Congrats on getting your game...hope it all gets fixed up easily enough.

#6307 5 years ago

I had a broken plastic when I unboxed my RZ. It does suck but know that Spooky will take care of this ASAP. My experience with them has been awesome. Great group of people who truly care!

It's post #2315. Or, if you go to Spookys Facebook page it's there as well.

Just a follow up if anyone cares. I emailed Spooky and they're sending me a new plastic ASAP. I checked everything over as best I could and didn't find any other damage. Also, the screws that I found look like they were never used so I'm pretty sure they were just dropped during the manufacturing process.

The build quality on my pin is fantastic and after a couple of minor tweaks with switches, it plays awesome. The balls left in the pin is a "shit happens" type of thing.

I’d rather have balls left in a game than a cheap ass cabinet or a playfield with delaminating inserts!

Nice. Little bit of a gap between when I had to pay for #165. Are you through a distributor or direct? I went through a distributor.

#270 is on the production line now! This was a butter cabinet so I guess mine is leap frogged. Can't wait for this baby!

Was held back, waiting for the butter cabinet built in batches.

Thanks for allowing me to jump in line. #152 with a Butter Cabinet arrived. I see why they charge more for shipping on these. They wrapped the entire unit in two moving blankets. I’ll utilize those when I move or trade any games in the future.

I'm glad it worked out and (sad) that could've been mine. But my wife would have actually killed me if had got TNA and DI LE within the same month. I love DI LE btw.

So how is the butter cabinet? And what was shipping charge? I never found out that.

When I get my TNA our collection will overlap 6 of your games and mine although I have TWD pro.

I’ve got a JJ Pirates in order but I may decide to go old school with a TZ that you formerly had as well. I’m loving my restored TAF.
Back to TNA , The butter cabinet is amazing. That’s why I put in on the end to show off the shine. There was some residue on the side armor , it takes 10 minutes of patience when you want to play the game. I did immediately add the “power ball”. Shipping was fair(extra $50). I am noticing a slight hum from a fan or something . It actually sounds like a faint horn.

I am attempting to get a variety of styles of games. I like everything Ive had so far except for The Hobbit. I miss Tron but actually sold you yours back with the intention of getting TNA. Same techno music but more brutal and unlike my Sterns.

MMR is fast, simple and straightforward. I recommend it but I had to add PinStadiums to it and to TAF. I’m not very good either so every game is challenging to me.

Anyone here picked up their machine in person? What should be expected with the machine in terms of prep for loading into my vehicle? Will I have to supply everything or will spooky have my game already knocked down and wrapped neatly like the game above?

They will have it ready to go for you all wrapped up , in a box, on a crate however you need it to be . I picked up my TNA there They had it all wrapped up nicely , I asked to not have it in a box ( waste of materials and I was just going to open it so less work for me also) . Easy to load games at spooky also, you can back right up to the garage door and put it in your vehicle .

Whoa... that is a serious display! Headless Ned and all! I've limited my collection to Tarantino Pop's only. Now I just need a Tarantino Pin to display them on!

Awesome. Still worried about the butter for the drive back so was wondering.

Isn't the butter cabinet a bit more durable with the clearcoat? I imagine small scratches and dings could be buffed out. I'm not sure, but it seems like it would be a benefit from going that route.

Looking at shipped and received numbers as well as numbers for those games that have been paid up, butter cabinet orders must be higher than I would have expected. The highest delivered number I've seen is #161, but people over 200 have been informed it's time to pay up. I'm 165 and my final payment deadline was May 25th. With such a wide range of numbers there, I would guess butter cabinet runs are pushing the numbers around in production a bit. I would be curious to know what percentage of the full run end up with the upgrade when it's all said and done.

Edit: 183 has been delivered too. There's a number gap between 161 and 183, which could be due to distributor allocations, butter cabinets, or something else. Anybody else have a number between those that got their game already?

#6334 5 years ago

#183 is mine, and I'm not sure why it might have been delivered out of order, but I'm not complaining. No butter cabinet. Ordered direct from Spooky. And I hope KT doesn't get flooded with 20 emails asking her, now that I posted about it.

After owning the game only one day and putting about 15 games on it, I have nothing but great things to say. The build quality seems superb and the setup was really simple. Even the balls provided by Spooky were high quality enough that I didn't feel the need to instantly replace them, like I have with other manufacturers.

The upgraded speaker lights are pretty amazing, and I can't recommend the shaker enough--so well integrated. As for the monitor, I am 6'1" and have zero complaints about the visibility or quality. I'm not sure what the big deal is about the monitor and definitely won't be going to the trouble to swap it out. I ordered the mirrors, and they look great. I also added the $20 target decals and really like the look. I did not get the knocker and won't be adding the lit side rails. My side rails did come with some gunk still on them, like a few people have commented on above (or was it in the Club thread?). So I had to spend about 10 minutes lightly scrubbing it away, but it was no big deal.

Now I can't wait to get home and play it some more. I have three children and am really looking forward to the co-op and versus modes with them.

#6335 5 years ago

I think it's normal to see them get shipped a little out of order. They're probably still built in the general order they were ordered. Difference between distributors and direct, different locations, etc. It all factors in.

Thanks for the reminder to order the target decals, I haven't done that.

I have kids too, and co-op mode with them is something I'm very much looking forward to playing with them. My 9-year old is started to get pretty good at aiming his shots, so the straightforward ruleset is going to make co-op perfect for us. My 5-year old can flail away with us and hopefully enjoy himself too as he learns to play better.

163 bumpin'! My wife liked the idea of sticking the born-date label on the back box, so we asked SpookyCharlie and SpookyKT for one

Played perfectly right out of the wrapper!
