Quoted from jar155:

Oh man. We're getting real close to #165. Trying to contain my excitement, but I'm headed for a hype meltdown.

Don't get too excited. It took over a month after I paid in full until I got a tracking number.
Just saying.
That being said, I got it last Thursday. I must love it - it definitely has that "just one more game" factor. I've put 112 games on it already.

I was hoping for mid to late June, so that's still in play. But I know what you mean about not getting too worked up. The wait for my last couple of NIBs was pretty brutal.

Switch mounted on head with double-sided tape for easy access to flashing modes.

Want to play this, any on location anywhere in the SF bay area or a very trusting Pinsider who likes strangers who love pinball?

Sorry it just can't be that good, I have to see for myself.

But damn that music is bumpin, toe tapper.

I’ll finally get a install vid lol.
More good news for those purchasing side rail kits. Going forward all will have a remotely wired button to quickly change the light mode. On solid, slow pulse and fast pulse will be easilly changed without having to lift up the playfield. Peraonally i like them lit always but we added the remote button due to feedback.

We also get to measure out for our next tasteful addition. Keep notes with your machine # my good fellas.

Alamo Draft House and The Flipper Room are near enough for ya. I know of at least one that will be at GSPF

HOOKED >> You should make an EL kit that will illuminate behind the Spooky G. emblem on TNA preferably white... If you can make a splitter that works both the TNA and the Spooky G. off the original TNA set up that would be fantastic..
Thanks frankmac

I went to the Flipper Room last weekend to play TNA. It’s a great spot with well maintained games and the owners are great friendly hosts. You will have a great time!

my number is up but I need to wait 1-2 weeks because I'm getting butter cabinet.

They have to do a batch of butter together, just thought I'd let you know if you are wondering about the production numbers (I'm #152)

Yes the first run had a button on the black power box body. Second run has the button on a wire that can be mounted remotely (about 2 feet from power box).

Look what just showed up

Haha, for sure. Some distributors bought slots a long time ago though. It's worth reaching out to them and seeing what's available if you're getting in now.

Dang, I'm on month 9 and am still 20 numbers away from the line apparently! Nice snag.

Owners can you say how the build quality is? I mean cabinet integrity, decals, inserts etc..

I’ve not heard anything bad, but this was part of the reason why I stopped buying Stern pins when they said insert ghosting is considered normal.

All 100%.

#5985 5 years ago

I was really impressed overall. Spooky's playfields are probably the best in the industry. The cabinet was solid. Was totally shocked that the translight was an actual backglass. The fan noise is overhyped IMO, you won't notice when you are blasting the music (and you WILL crank the volume on this pin).

Very happy customer

EDIT: I put the stronger flipper springs from pinball life on all the flipper mechs as soon as I got the game. Not sure if it was necessary, but zero issues with any of the flippers. The siren made a grinding sound as it rotated when I first got the game, but by the time I got some lube for the mech, the grinding stopped after the first 2 days of gameplay. Never applied the lube, haven't heard the noise since. The only thing I really had to do was adjust the gaps on all the leaf switches for more responsive gameplay.

Same status as last time you asked (i think it was you?), game twois still rocking with zero issues aside from one broken flipper spring. I files the hole where spring attaches and reused the same spring. Pf holding up amazingly well, even at scoops and ball hot area, inserts still smooth and leveland no issues, decals look great. By far the overall best built new game i have had on route inthe past five years.

I had one light bulb go out and it was replaced by spooky.

Great service, top notch build, holding up exceptionally well undr hard route play since Sept 2017

Quoted from Whysnow:

. By far the overall best built new game i have had on route inthe past five years.

Where have we heard that before??

Quoted from Whysnow:

We have games from EVERY manufacturer currently making games for play (on route in Madison) and Full Throttle is by far the best built, least headache, best engineered, and all around most sturdy of ALL the games we have put out in the past 3 years.

Phil - the game I received is just fine. Overall quality is on par with what you’d hope to get when you slap down $6+. Does not feel like a home brew, if that’s what you’re asking. It’s professional and tip-top.

I’ve had to regap a few switches (including the pop-bumper)... which is no biggie. Playfield is gorgeous and - yes - it is showing some dimples **gasp** (totally normal). The cabinet is built like a tank and the playfield is easy to lift (slides right past mirror blades). Stressing cabinet build: Spooky’s cabinet robustness and choice to stick with a wood backbox makes the game feel really good in the hands when nudging, etc.

Overall craftsmanship is impressive. Everything I ordered is on the game. Like I said earlier, Spooky gets an A so far!

My only complaint/ding is that the LCD has poor off-axis viewing angles, so it’s a tad washed out for taller pluayers. If there were a more expensive drop-in replacement, I’d probably purchase it. Fan noise is there - I have a replacement but haven’t bothered to install as the fan isn’t a factor when playing the game.

Kayte told me on Tuesday that this week, she is sending out the emails on the next 3 weeks worth of games, so she can get as much paperwork done as possible before they leave for some shows in CA next week.

despite your inexperience with either game in a route setting and desire to troll and disparage me constantly, both statements are in fact very true. The Alien I had was built very well (aside from light board design). The TNA I have is built even better.

You're comparing Alien to TNA concerning quality? The problems with Alien or any Heighway product goes WAY beyond a light board design and you know it.
Your comment is total disrespect for TNA.

Quoted from Mr68:

You're comparing Alien to TNA concerning quality? The problems with Alien or any Heighway product goes WAY beyond a light board design and you know it.
That is total disrespect for TNA.

The VFW's Showcase had a TNA on loan for the weekend.
With 22+ hours of use about 560 games played, had only 2 ball searches and the glass was never removed.

While the Alien Clay bought was delivered, 2 weeks after the 2017 Show, was missing the "Alien Head" took 6 months to get the part. And I saw the tech staff fixing the Alien at the 2018 show twice.

#5996 5 years ago

I think we can all agree (from multiple accounts) that TNA is a solidly built machine with a few needed tweaks here and there. From what I've gathered from NIB machines (never had a NIB before) this is completely normal. I know that for any machine I bring in, I always set my slings and pop bumpers to hair-trigger sensitivity. Seems par for the course for this machine as well.

And for a love of pinball, let's keep Heighway out of this thread! There's already a thread for that whole shitshow.

#5999 5 years ago

Don’t flatter yourself. Just pointing out a reference point for anyone coming across that statement.

My buddy was simply asking about the quality of games Spooky is putting out - whether he asked about it before and now... or just now - he’s curious, as is anyone that’s thrown $ down on the game.

Spooky is doing a great job with this one. End of story.

#6000 5 years ago
Quoted from Mr68:

not at all. The Alien I had was solid and I had it running on route for a long time with few issues. The TNA I have on route is even better with essentially zero issues.

Stop trying to be a Kim and say I am even remotely insulting TNA. Game is awesome and built very well. Best built game to date I have had on route, super robust, easy to keep clean, people love it, and I love it also.
