The Toronto Pinball League (ToPL) has been running continuously for more than 20 years!

Open to women and men of all ages, if you are looking for some friendly competitive league pinball, ToPL has got your fix! We play at some of the most fantastic private and public collections all around the GTA. ToPL has a great welcoming, social atmosphere for all skill and experience levels.

Want to look forward to Mondays? Our league plays almost every Monday over three seasons each year. We also organize ToPL Seasonal Open Tournaments and Flipper Frenzies throughout the year!

Despite icy conditions of what is hopefully winter’s last roar, we had a great final week with 18 players to close out the season!

The ToPL Spring Playoffs Tournament is this coming Sunday (April 22nd) at luch ’s house. We have a new format for this open tournament: 11 rounds of 4-player match play and a best of 3 bracket final for the top four players in each division. Doors open at noon and play starts at 1:00 pm.

Thanks to Vengeance for hosting this week! Scores are up on the PAPA site, and Blaq is holding onto the lead, but spikedbat is catching up. They’re also in a dead heat for the Most Improved trophy, so it’ll be interesting to see how the next few weeks play out.

The league took the opportunity to recognize and appreciate all the time and effort Vengeance put into the league as President for the last few years. Thanks Adam!

Adam Becker (@Vengeance) made it to the final 8 (quarter finals) in A Division and tied for 7th in very tough competition with Keith Elwin, Eric Stone, and Andrei Massenkoff!

John Flitton and Barry Brdar (@superjackpot) made it to the final 4 in B Division, with John finishing in 2nd place, and Barry finishing in 3rd place! Awesome finish!

In the inaugural E Division tournament, Myles Cameron (@Myles32) vanquished all others to be crowned the E Division Champion with none other than former World Champion Bowen Kerins applauding Myles’ performance on Monaco in an exciting final tie-breaker!

These guys did an incredible job representing the GTA leagues at Pinburgh! Congratulations!

It’s time for the PLAYOFFS!!!

It’s been another great season for the Toronto Pinball League, and we appreciate our hosts and members for making ToPL such a great pinball league!

Jerry Power of Player 1 Amusements Group has generously offered to host our playoffs at the Player 1 Showroom! They will have a large selection of modern pins for us to play, and a fantastic setting for us to play in!

Another bonus: The parts desk will be open in a limited capacity - if you order and pay for parts over the phone on Monday, you will be able to pick them up at the ToPL Playoffs!

Doors open at 6:00 pm with food being served around 6:30 pm, and Playoffs starting at 8:00 pm sharp.

As our end of season league playoffs, participation is open only to all paid league members.

The ToPL Playoffs this season were a huge success and we have a lot of people to thank for that!

First off, Jerry Power and Player 1 provided a superb venue for the Toronto Pinball League to hold our season playoffs! In addition to their showroom and all the machines, they also contributed pizza, wings, bottled water, and a lot of Player 1 swag as giveaways! Furthermore, on behalf of Player 1, Jerry donated the host fees for the evening back to the league to contribute to the awards that we provide to players! Thanks so much Jerry and Player 1!

Thanks to Chris Bardon for setting up and running our tournament software and running our random draws for the prizes provided by our generous sponsors! Thanks also to Luch and Myles for meeting me early at Player 1 to set up, level, and clean all the machines to ensure they were running tip-top for the tournament!

Finally, thanks to all our great membership for coming out and making our playoffs such a fun finish to our season! We had 100% of our members come out to playoffs, and we’ve been hearing a lot of really positive feedback on the evening!

Our dinner was catered by Sofra Mediterranean Cuisine (www.sofra.ca) of Richmond Hill, and Gino’s Pizza.

ToPL Playoffs at the Player One Showroom!

Thank you to all of our great ToPL Members for coming out and making our season and playoffs such a success! Big thanks to Jerry Power and Player One for not only hosting us with a lot of great new games to play, but also for contributing a pizza and a lot of great prizes! Jerry and Player One have gone above and beyond for us! Thanks also to @myles32, @evilpenguinj, @spikedbat, @bigandy, @blaq, @boobooboi, luch and others that came early and helped set up games, computers, food and seating!

Our dinner was catered by Sofra Mediterranean Cuisine (www.sofra.ca) of Richmond Hill. They did a great job for us!

Running the tournament software for the first time on your own really makes you appreciate those who normally take care of that element of the Playoffs, so as he was unable to attend, ChrisBardon was truly missed - and thank you for getting it mostly set up for us! While the tournament got off to a slower start as we were trying to figure out the software, we gained our footing and things went quite smoothly.

We've noted some areas for improvement in future playoffs, such as minimizing 3-player groupings, having A and B banks of pins, and having top seed order selection.

The championship came right down to the wire! A difference of approximately 40 million points on AFM! Another fantastic season of ToPL Pinball comes to a close, and playoffs are on Monday (April 29th) at the P1AG Showroom!

Big congratulations are due to Chris Draper for winning the season by a single point ahead of last season's champion, Steve Machado! Congratulations Chris!

It was also a really tight race for our Most Improved Player, with Jason Gillard putting in a solid performance all season and especially the last night of the season! Congratulations Jason!

We’re you thinking of going to the cottage? It’s going to rain, the cottage traffic will be horrendous, and the black flies and mosquitoes are going to be merciless! On second thought, the ToPL Spring Open Tournament sounds like a lot more fun, doesn’t it?

The Toronto Pinball League presents the ToPL Spring Open Tournament this Sunday, May 26th at Nick’s in Halton Hills!

We’ve got a great tournament lined up at a great collection of pinball machines! For those that haven’t been to Nick’s, you’ll see a massive collection with some unique and rare machines to play, such as JJP’s Pirates of the Caribbean LE, Tron LE, Big Bang Bar, Magic Girl, Iron Maiden LE, Star Trek LE, Star Wars LE, Batman 66 LE, and much more!

In addition, Jerry Power and Player One are providing four new titles for the tournament as well! Come try out Black Knight: Sword of Rage, The Munsters, Deadpool, and The Beatles! Big thanks to Jerry and Player One for their support!

The tournament pays out CA$H prizes to the top eight players, we’ve got a BBQ lunch, and lots of pinball action at one of the best pinball collections in Ontario!

ToPL Presents the Thanksgiving Flipper Frenzy!

Finished all the turkey and looking for something fun to do on Thanksgiving Monday? Come out and try the Flipper Frenzy at Jim’s incredible collection!

This an IFPA sanctioned event with WPPR points up for grabs!

Details:
Monday, October 14th - Doors open at 7:00 pm
Frenzy starts at 7:30 pm and runs until 10:00 pm (2.5 hours) Latecomers accepted until 8:00 pm
$15 entry fee for host and food - Register early and get a bonus gift!

The ToPL Thanksgiving Flipper Frenzy was a great success thanks to JimWilks for hosting us at his incredible collection, and for Myles32 to make all the effort at organizing and running the tournament! Myles also prepared all the delicious home made burgers and hot dogs for everyone!
