Ordered the topper for one of the best games ever.
For all the complaining Stern will sell the shit out of these.
People like me are also begging for the shooter rod at $140
This is a great hobby to blow money!

Quoted from drfrightner:Listen up Darth Vader, clearly you're serve the empire (LOL) but let me respond.
Stern sells a product they call it the LIMITED EDITION, its suppose to be the best version. But these cheap people over there don't get you the best version.
They don't give you the shooter rod, the topper or even the new modes. Then they come out with better sideblade armor.
Lets add it up here... Sideblade Armor $249.00 Topper - $599.00 - Shooter Knob $139.00
what are all those things WORTH cost wise maybe $150.00 but why didn't they come with the game?
Not to mention a NEW MODE!
Look at Star Trek LE that comes with bad ass sideblade armor why not the other games?
They're making the LE cheaper than ever then almost immediately turning around and saying OH BY THE WAY YOU DIDNT GET THE BEST VERSION
BUT... for another $1,000 plus you can have the new mode, topper, and everything else.
I buy an LE and I expect the best version.
You know what I'd shut up if Stern would just add a 10 cent flap to keep the balls from falling out when you lift the playfied. But that will never happen.
Why don’t you go start your own pinball company, do it your way, and then we can call you Dr. Bankrupt
Quoted from cooked71:C‘’mom Ice, we’re supposed to stick it to the man. You just ruined everything.
Here’s what I’m thinking Cookie, “the man” employs 300 people or so that NEED our support after going through a shitstorm?
I’m sure Stern tapped that PPP but I’m happy to help them out and support all the line workers that need jobs. Boom boom.
Quoted from drfrightner:There is NO WAY IN HELL Deeproot has spent 35 million. If they said that I don't believe for one second. The problem with Deep Root is the same issue as American Pinball... the demand for original titles is not strong. Go out and license something really cool and get it to market as fast as possible.
It doesn't take two decades to get to market at this point Deep Root is a total failure. They're overthinking this whole thing. But none of that has to do with getting a license and creating a pinball game nor Stern overcharging for a $100 topper.
I would have paid $1000 for this topper You cheap bastard. You have no clue on how to run a business obviously.
Quoted from Utesichiban:Either that or you have no idea to manage your money
Seriously, though, to each their own. I don't see anything spectacular to this topper that justifies the price but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I have no interest in buying this but if others do, it is no skin off my back. I don't like the trend towards pay for play content and Stern increasingly trying to control and profit off of every facet of this hobby, though.
I’m sure he doesn’t. I on the other hand can manage money just fine
Trickle down. Friday?
Quoted from cooked71:Very philanthropic Ice. Topper might even be tax deductible.
In the US. 100%
Bailout special.
Quoted from EricHadley:Oh I see drfrightner is back, almost tempting enough to turn my thumbs up/down on just to burn up my thumbs down on him. But nah, I’ll keep it off.
Turn it back on Wacky after getting roasted
I love it when the price police come out like Kaneda
Makes me want to buy it more. I still love ya brother!
And the FACT is they are selling the shit out of em for a GREAT game!
And I paid $8500 for my LE
Would I buy it for a shit game? No
I love Stern making these great games. Don’t listen to the vocal minority! Keeping giving us options
Don’t have to buy it
Quoted from colonel_caverne:Would you buy a shit game? Lol
Well, some consider Munsters a shit game, I don’t, but don’t need that topper even though it looks cool
I’d buy one for a game i plan on keeping forever.
TWD, JPLE, Elvira and maybe STH?
BM66 came with a topper!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:The grande dame of ALL stern whinefests, the gold standard of pointless and ineffective calls
For revolution among rich and lazy pinball collectors - A Dark Night for Stern - racked up almost 400 upvotes, while accomplishing nothing.
And this one is wheezing along at 90?
What is happening to this social justice movement? It seems to be losing steam.
[quoted image]
Lol. So true. Like everything else these days
There is a small group, no matter what it is, that make things seem a whole lot worse than it really is.
Then there is the real world that the rest of us live in.
But it falls in line with some people feeling the need to tell us what we have to think, say and buy.
I promise you are getting NOWHERE. The real world market will dictate what happens every time
