I don't see the Goat Mania Mode as a tremendous asset to the game. Perhaps it was removed in development to benefit game-play, then added to the topper as an after-thought. This JP Topper may be the 1st to display game progression. Goat Mania may have been a quick 'what-to-do' when all of the letter are lit.
Quoted from underlord:...When this hobby gets to be only available to whale purchasers, it’ll die out like other hobbies before. I’ll just find a new one.
I visited a local Pinsider who provided some insight into his life experiences in arcades and pinball. One thing he said that countered a few of my previous purchases and has stirred my thoughts, "I'd never buy a NIB machine."
His home-arcade is the nicest I've experienced. He built it using intelligent techniques of purchasing wisely and creating investments that pay-off for himself. It's smart. If everyone bought pinball machines using his techniques; Stern wouldn't exist. No JJP. No Chicago Gaming. No Spooky. No American Pinball, Multimorfic or Deeproot. That's when the hobby we experience today would die.
That's the point I'm thinking of. The vast variety of machines is absolutely incredible. We live at a great time to have this experience. There wouldn't be 100s of thousands of games without someone having stepped up and made the purchase.
Quoted from Vitty:No matter your take on the topper, this is some funny stuff!!! Well done!!
Holy cow. I had to scroll up to see what that was. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. My eyes are still watering.
Working in the lower gift shop of the Hancock Building, Chicago (they sell gift and souvenir items; banners, pins, shot-glasses and more); a customer with her hands full, unloads her items at the register and states, "Can you believe people actually buy this crap!"
Quoted from delt31:Get your, "I'm a Stern sucker" tshirt at flippin out pinball! Quantity is limited of course - Buy buy buy!
We're too late... they're sold out.
EDIT: however these are made to order;
Made2Order (resized).jpgYea, there are circumstances where selling a Pro to buy a Premium may be better value. Perhaps most.
Update packages need not be provided by the manufacturer. Example: Modfather designs an improved package that rivals the original.
Quoted from chuckwurt:How are mod people going to make a T. Rex on JP premium or the van that loads and releases balls on TMNT?
I suppose I could send requests; asking how they would perform those tasks. I won't.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Please post video of your GOAT mode.
Fuel for their fires. Everyone should experience it in some form.
You receive (x) number of Goat-Mode flips (shown with an icon on the right side of the display). Each flip reduces the number by 1 while providing Mode Score Bonus and a "baaaa" until the flips are depleted.
