Stern might consider this negative feedback 'growing pains' with any new 'business model' but I really hope customers don't buy and show it's viable.
That said, I'll bet most Stranger Things customers felt 'forced' and bought the light-kit. And too many people are able to justify $9k for a Stern LE. That's amazing.

LEAKED IMAGES OF NEW TURTLES TOPPER!!!!!!

It'll cost $1599 but it includes an actual slice of Leonardo's pizza!

Quoted from Gorgar666:

Fuck it, I may Buy. Are they still available?

Seriously!?

There is a video from original Atari arcade offices (shown at CA Extreme a few years ago) where the game designers joke about 'management perception of game development talent'. In the video, they pushed an arcade cabinet off the roof of their Sunnyvale office. The cabinet just explodes in the parking lot as a kid rides by on his bicycle and attempts to put a quarter in the coin door of the destroyed game. It's pretty funny.

The pinball hobby feels a bit like that now... $600 or $9000 at a time.

For everyone buying Stern NIB games, I just wanted to say that while you're certainly incentivizing Stern to ship unfinished code and incomplete games at higher prices, I appreciate you. If it wasn't for NIB buyers, there would be no secondary market. With patience, these recent releases are going to be properly priced soon. I thank you for your service.

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

JJP is better and value for money.

I agree completely, it's not even a contest. Stern pricing isn't competitive making it very difficult to justify buying their last several games.

Quoted from PtownPin:

People are frugal when they fork out $9K for a game site unseen? I don't think so...these people could probably give two shits about another $600. I'm not saying its worth the $600, but my guess is most don't care. I mean paying $550+ to play pebble beach isn't worth it either, but its booked a year out....its all relative

I can explain my frustration with this topper/thread quite simply... I WANT BETTER from Stern. As our first lady might say, Stern is not 'be best'.

When I compare the other games in my collection, the last several Stern LE's look like they should cost $5-6k.

I do understand anyone able to justify $9k on a recent stern can certainly justify a $600 plastic topper.

Quoted from rai:

I editing Spanish guy video, I didn't like a few bits and some syntax etc... for example when I said $9 thousand dollars (is redundant) also the SW topper was 750 dollars etc..

Well done. I'd end the video with "a goat waiting to be eaten... a goat... NO NO NO! a SHEEP! Pinsider SHEEP!
