My TZ had a crappy “lock 1” insert decal.
I got a new decal from a friend that had a spare. I noticed the new decal has slightly raised printing on the non sticky side, where as the old decals have the printing on the sticky side.
Should I just put the new decal on as is ? Will the printing be ok ? Or should it be mylared or clear coated or something like that ?

Yes--either one. If the printing is on the top and not sealed it will wear pretty quickly.
