    Quoted from policano:

Today to make money in pinball you have to have the non pinball players also playing. Picking a popular theme with easy rules is honestly a great choice.

That's a plus for Data East: They did snag a few great franchises that draw people in, and the machines aren't (overall) really sought after by most collectors.

I had a TFTC on location years ago and it out earned Whirlwind, Mars Trek, six million dollar man, flash Gordon, high speed, take five.

All were at the same location with arcades also and TFTC doubled monthly earnings to next closest WW. It might have something to do with the audience as the location was almost all teenage boys.

People love to fight over earnings and its simple. The cashbox never lies. I have several games i wouldn't prefer to play/own but this is how you grow your player base.

WOZ- attractive and eye catching and hand down excellent earning machines
ST/TWD are an easy to pickup what to do. TWD is absolutely a brutal game but the themes on these titles put money in the cash box. When I said easy rules I mean something on the game is obvious to shoot for. (Prison/Huge Zombie figure/Ship)

    Quoted from Chrizg:

Out of 8 pins at one location, I have a TMNT that gets double the play that the AFM gets each week..

Thank you for that bit of information! I'm probably about to put machines on location and the owner wants family friendly games. Good to know that TMNT earns well. Will be keeping my eyes out for one.

All games at Up-Down KC, Up-Down DSM are one quarter/token per play.

It all depends on the location and the player base. If you have more of a pinhead crowd then TMNT would not do well.

We don't have a pinhead crowd at all. The player base is growing, but mainly small. It will all be about getting the random casual player, not the hardcore pinheads.
