Hey there fellow TC fans, just wanted to see what you've settled in on with your post adjustments to optimize game play - especially so the game doesn't play too easy. I never have an issue increasing the slope as well, but at some point the ball physics begin to deteriorate, so first I'm thinking to just make the posts as conservative as possible to maximize the game's defense.

(Also if people can confirm what posts on their game are actually adjustable that would be great. The only ones I see so far on mine are the posts on either side of the "4" and "Jack")

Thanks in advance!

Quoted from DirtFlipper:

According to the playfield layout chart in the back of the Operator Manual (or the '78 Parts Catalog), all 8 of the standup target posts are adjustable between liberal and conservative (so four on each side of the playfield), plus one each for the lower two slings (the top post of each).
So ten total posts can be adjusted.

Thanks guys - I clearly need to get manuals for my titles - any clue what year Gottlieb started writing them?

Would still be interested to hear from TC owners what their findings were after experimenting with a variety of post settings. Is setting all 10 conservative make the game too difficult? Did u find that maybe just going to 3-ball and/or maxing the replay score with mixed post settings works best? I'm going to experiment a bunch as well - just just curious what others have found works best for them.
