My pinball habit.
Nailed it. End of discussion.
GB hands down...My teenage son played it at a show and he is pretty good player won the youth tournament several years back at White Rose..He played that machine and I think his game and mine lasted like two minutes and he hit the ball maybe twice and walked away.
Quoted from Spencer:With the introduction of the center post and outlane protectors ( to avoid balls jumping the lanes ) you can't say Ghostbusters anymore. If setup correctly, its no longer a drain fest and is a top 5 game all day long.
TZ and the left outlane shot, I still haven't figured out...
Pity all of that needs to be done to make a 5k game playable. I agree though, with those changes it isn't quite as bad.
Quoted from woody76:Lots of TWD and GB responses. I have both and my MET and afmr is more of a drain monster than those. All in how it's setup I guess.
GB was rough when I first got it, so I added the center post, but after a while removed the post when games were becoming way too long. Even then the games remained way too long and the machine has been set to 1 ball with no center post for quite some time. Seems to be a game that benefits greatly from knowing what shots to avoid or how to approach them (particularly the ghost target and scoleri bros). On location however, GB can be brutal with poor set-up and drains out of left scoop.
Similar story with BSD for me.
I'd like to own IM eventually, and that's one that I drain quickly on at every show.
My list of modern drain monsters would at least include RZ and IM. Chop ball save helps even out RZ, but those are still drains.
Other notables: Johnny Mnemonic and Bally Star Trek (i'm cursed when I play those, I guess.)
Quoted from pascal-pinball:STTNG is not a drainmonster if you know how to nudge a STTNG.
so true. just nudge up any time the ball is in that funnel area. saves it almost every time.
can't disagree with GB, though. Even with longer flippers and the outlane posts in the most closed position, it's still a short game.
