Obviously, it is inherently difficult in this arena to objectively and honestly measure the true quality of a game. Clearly, there are so many financial and cultural biases that subvert the judging process. Agreed, for example, if you recently put out a substantial amount of cash for GOT or TH, and if you are dedicated to the Pinside platform, you will vote your (empty) pocket book. To the Pinside top 100 credit, the voting does recur periodically, so I suspect TH, like most games, will find its true level eventually. Though at some point, it becomes apples and oranges when comparing a game from 1995 and a game with an LCD screen and non-looping music from 2015. The good news is that the hobby has once again become competitive and dynamic, and I think that, in the end, is a good thing. .
