Quoted from cait001:

Can we get an edit on the 300-400 list?
Hercules has gone from 334 to 364, so we need to see the 30 new games now in exile!

Quoted from mof:

Perhaps a little poll would be helpful to see what the people that support this site would like to see?

Ask and ye shall receive

I have now added paging to the Official Top 100 and the EM Top 100 lists. This means the Top 100 now adds places 300-364 while the EM listing finally goes beyond showing the first 100 entries.

On a sadder note. Hercules is currently ranked at the bottom of the Top 100 list. It seems so unfair to have this (literally!) great game at the bottom. But to be honest it was a big disappointment for me when I first got to play it at Expo 2014. Yes, on paper the game seems amazing but in real life it plays... like a dud. Still a cool and novel game to see though!

Anyways, enjoy!

It's like an easter egg hunt... A few weeks ago we were at #364 games. Then we saw #365. This week we are at #369...

Until Robin implements any sort of "[new...]" icon next to a new game on the list -- we need to try to find them...

I tend to look for "15 ratings" but of course sometimes it's 16 or 17 or more...

I wonder what the newest 5 games are?

No idea what the other 4 are...

That was quite the crusade. Congratulations on your steadfastness. A list well deserving of a page 4.

Hurray! The pins are now grouped on the top 100 (Remakes and special editions), and so now there are 336 entries.

I think the " (2)" could be aesthetically more subtle, but I very much appreciate that change.

380 pins measured: Jan 20, 2020.

So some time in ... 2022 we may see a PAGE 5!

mind blown.

thank goodness they started grouped them by versions or we'd be at page 5 prematurely.

ratings:
page 1: 8.913 to 7.753
page 2: 7.753 to 7.289
page 3: 7.272 to 6.832
page 4: 6.826 to 4.421

384 Mar 31, 2020 (I wonder what game snuck in this week?)

#66 4 years ago

Beat the Clock — 4 more approved ratings needed.

City Slicker — 7 more approved ratings needed.

Grand Slam — 11 more approved ratings needed.

Granny and the Gators — 7 more approved ratings needed.

Lady Luck — 10 more approved ratings needed.

.. .some poor bally midway games that could really use your help.

384 went to 337 today.

I wonder what changed?

#68 4 years ago

25 votes now required.

Say goodbye to quick visibility of games such as:

Magic
Cyclopes
Robot
Time machine
and 40+ others.

HEY WHAT GIVES???

Did a large number of games get dropped from the list because the threshhold of reviews was changed?
Maybe old reviews were expunged? Or reviews of certain types were?

If so we need to see a list and get people to write thoughtful reviews of those games to get them back..,,

I'm wondering how this is good for pinball to reduce exposure to solid states?

stumped.

can you please start a thread titled something like "The great pinball review project" and we can link to games and encourage people to leave thoughtful reviews?
I'd be happy to contribute to the thread. I probably shouldn't start it though since a bunch of people on this site ignore me.

Poor Magic, it doesn't seem to get much love from the classic Stern crowd, let alone pinball players as a whole.

Interesting idea. I'm happy to start it -- what ideas do you have for it?

Lots of people are home now due to coronavirus, i think it'd be great if we linked to games that could use more reviews to get them back into the top 400.
Of course, THOUGHTFUL reviews, not just spam ones.

If it's a community project, perhaps a few more people will join in?
