On Dec. 30, I’ll be releasing on Pinball Profile, The Top 10 Most Intriguing Pinball People of 2018.
Who do you think should be on this list, and why?

Zombie Yeti and Chris Franchi both deserve kudos for continuing to raising the bar on art in 2018. They also give great interviews.
(Next year, I hope Brian Eddy earns a place on this list.)
Depends what you mean by 'intriguing'. Are you referring to influential behind-the-scenes people, ones whose achievements outweigh their public profile, or ones that are enigmas whom you want to know more about?
Quoted from Stuart_Pitt9876:Jersey Jack. His machines are the best in the industry.
Period.
I'm not really throwing out names, but I feel like you could easily pull somebody from multiple categories. For example: designer, artist, tournament player, ambassador, media, distributor, etc

Do you own homework man!
The most intriguing people to me are the ones that have time and money to go to all the shows, tournaments, events, etc. Im really not sure what these people do for work, but it must be nice. Most of the time these people have brand new sterns in their collections too.
Largest pinball distributor - whoever that is. It would be interesting to hear about how different manufacturers deal with the people who sell their games.
Biggest IFPA mover of the year (or most significant).
Last player in the top 100 - what are they doing to stay in the ranks or hold 101-199 at bay?
Chris Warren because he deserves the recognition.
Young movers and shakers other than Esher.
Bowen of course. Is he competing for championships again? I heard his IFPA ranking was unsuppressed recently.
The guy behind "This Week In Pinball". I don't know his name, but it is amazing how much info he gives in a weekly post.
TWIP sums up all the info you need to know in a short post. I have no idea how much work he spends gathering this info each week, but I assume it is a lot. He is a true asset to the hobby.

Intriguing: arousing one's curiosity or interest; fascinating. (side note, this is for things done in 2018).
My list is done, just curious to see what others think. All good so far!
I think bluespin for his contributions to this thread in 2018: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/post-project-pins-for-sale-here-cl-ebay-pinside-and-others .

This may change, but these were the first ten to come to mind...
Robert Mueller - DeepRoot pinball has created some buzz with big in 2018. Will we see something besides talk in 2019?
John Popadiuk - More infamous then intrigue, but unfortunately still a major talking point in pinball.
Keith Elwin - Great year for new designers and Keith Elwin is my #1 new designer for 2018.
Eric Meunier - Another new designer with a hit on his hands. Launch somewhat hampered by slow production at JJP.
Charlie Emery - Continues to be a model for startup companies, plus does a lot of work for others in the industry.
Jeff Zornow - New artist who created one of the best art packages on his first machine, Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle.
Zombie Yeti - Zombie Yeti is quickly etching his name alongside the all time great pinball artists.
Deadflip (Jack Danger) / Straight Down The Middle (Greg & Zack) - Alright, I'm cheating here.
Gary Stern - Unless there is some major shakeup, he's probably going to be on the list most years.
Lyman Sheats - Continuing to raise the bar for coding.
Quoted from DCFAN:The JJP investor.
You think someone dumping money into a company is intriguing
Quoted from JY64:You think someone dumping money into a company is intriguing
yes, if you could interview him and get real answers to your questions.
A fool with money is not at all intriguing the people who brought Primus pinball to people who have never played is more intriguing even if its old school and overpriced
Did i miss wantdataeast ‘s recognition for the best sale add in history. He deserves it!!! That enter thread is imamaculate from start to finish.

Good list...can't disagree with any of these. On my Pinball Profile list, you had 2 correct, 2 honorable mentions, and one other named for their work. Hope you enjoyed the list. You can hear it here: http://www.podcastgarden.com/episode/ep-170-top-10-most-intriguing-pinball-people-of-2018_139086

Not sure if anyone needs a recap, but at about 18:30 there is a review of the top-9 before announcing 10. I will eventually listen to the total list, but right now that is exactly what I needed and I was lucky enough to find it quickly.

Whew! Good thing my Pinball Profile episodes are short. Imagine trying to find it if I went 2+ hours.
