Throw away that bottle of Millwax before you accidentally drop it and it shatters. I use Novus 2 exclusively for cleaning. It contains no petroleum distillates like Millwax.

It's certainly a personal preference thing. I actually do use Novus 1 also for light cleaning jobs and general non intensive wiping. Initial cleaning is always with Novus 2. I've never seen any problems with repeated Novus 2 usage and I've been using it for years. YMMV.
While I would agree that Simple Green is a good cleaner and has many uses. I wouldn't recommend using it on playfields - or any other water based cleaners. As a general rule of thumb you don't really want to put water on wooden playfields - period.
I could see spraying a little onto a cloth and wiping quickly and drying it. But spraying anything water based directly onto a field is a big mistake. I've seen people do it with Simple Green, 409, glass cleaner, Awesome, etc. A year or two down the road you may see the results of the water getting under the paint!
Novus 1 or 2 only.
Wax afterwards.
