Here is a great video from Butch Peel at Jersey Jack Pinball discussing the tools and uses of such tools for maintaining pinball machines. Take a minute (or 30) and learn something. I know I did (and I am a pretty smart guy.... according to my 2 year old).
I really need to find an IR test strip somewhere. That is a really cool tool!

You can even use one of those cheap remotes for the LED strips they sell at walmart.
