    Quoted from SUPERBEE:

Still unsure what your trying to say....

I think what he is saying is that there are TONS or 'retailers' that post on pinside but do not pay fees and avoid them by just never marking a post as 'sold'

    Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

Currently, it is an increasing market stall based on availability of NIB over certainly specific used games.
This is a perpetual process when new games become underdominant in comparison to used games at lower prices.
Equity shifts, as both new and used games compete against each other.
Dealers, brokers, and distributors then have to offset by raising prices to try and compensate, but it becomes a vicious loop.
For those games that are removed from basic ads currently, many times they are just private negotiated sales contract based on the advertisement in many cases for dealers that predominantly due their business from their website or other locations, not PinSide.
Right now the combination of excess of new titles (or upcoming titles) continues to shift away from most collectors that have no interest in spending $7-9K for a single game, when you can buy 4-5 used titles for the same amount. The divergence of the market is not supporting large amounts of growth as pricing continues to push new potential buyers out of the market. It is happening fairly quickly, but the market is still currently sustained by the influx of new buyers to offset the losses of older owners.
Nearly all current manufacturers are in belief that catering to exclusively to a high end market in some cases will allow them to continue production of titles at reduced numbers, but higher prices. Eventually, this disintegrates, as only a few can survive, especially as material and labor costs rise.
Eventually certain numbers of distributors will just disappear as they shut down due to lack of sales, especially if it is not a primary source of income. The most successful distributors ALWAYS diversify with both new and used game sales. It happens every 10-15 years in cycles.
The smartest old dealers and distributors are already preparing for the next iteration.
Even the oldest know that it is getting increasingly difficult to find high enough quality of pinball machines to sell, unless they reach further and further back to history. Hence, the reason why you see so many more older games appearing in the market from all sources. The largest dealers are willing to buy up entire collections for inventory in a heartbeat, if they have the capital.
The three major periods where this occurred in the past 40 years are the transition from EM to SS, the early SS era to alpha numeric, and the late model collapse of pinball based on loss of interest due to divergence of technology. The current era could be classified as the "Era of Boutique Manufacturers" but will not hold at current pricing, regardless of the realities of production costs.
