Do you know how to get into the service menu and test things ?

Well, after making sure all switches work, lift up the playfield and start wiggling wires. See if any wires are broke, make sure connectors are seated.
If this has always been an issue then something might be wired weird. If its a new issue then maybe wiggling and seating stuff will fix it.
The only thing i could think of is the switch is wired inline with the flipper and maybe a diode busted, or something along those lines.
