Just picked up a Tommy and I want to do a restore on it. From the best I can tell, the artwork was silkscreened or painted directly to the cab. There is no hint that this is a sticker of any kind.

Has anyone produced a stencil for repainting the cab and head?

Any cool mods? I'm only aware of the propellors for the B-52 and that's really a minor enhancement more than anything else.

Thanks!

Congratulations on the pickup! Tommy is an awesome game. The best mod you can do is to replace the crappy Data East auto plunger with a modern Stern one. I would also recommend some Pinbits dead drop foam to help prevent bounceouts from the right VUK shot. Here's some links to the parts:

Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about stencils being available for this game.

B-17 just saying

Hey, I got the B- part right!

I was hoping stencils were made. Otherwise, it looks like I'm going to be having some fun with an Xacto knife and acetate....

Thanks for the hints on the mods. I got a very nice deal on this pin, so I'm happy with it. It needs a couple of mechanical fixes, but cosmetically it is in good shape outside of being filthy.

no, it isn't a b-17. It's most likely modeled after an RAF Halifax Heavy bomber. Tommy is based on British WW2 history

The plane in the machine is a twin engine, so i don't think it is really representative. More of an amalgamation.

Well, gweempose totally nailed the two things that irk me most about the game. Unfortunately, the one I play is on location. But I bet if I came in with some if that foam...

Anyway, I do love the game.
