Coil never gets power. Has same Ohm as similar coils. Fires when we apply voltage.

So, we are now going to replace the transistor that controls this coil.

Went to local shop, but they are out.

While I wait, I'll swap this board with One from my Road Show and see if game plays correctly now.

Maybe RoadShow doesn't even use that circuit?

Set multimeter to diode and transistor seems ok. Fuse is fine. Not getting any voltage to the coil.

    ?

Have not tried swapping driver boards yet

Did you try briefly grounding the transistor tab for that coil to see if it fires ? If it fires then board issue, if not, then from transistor legs to windings on the coil you have a broken wire.

We swapped driver boards with RoadShow and no change.

All switches in subway work correctly.

Game should be energizing that coil, but does not.

We check the wires to that coil and no sign of life.

We will try grounding the tab now. Thanks!

If that doesn't work, I'd try a new ribbon cable between CPU and driver board.

STUPID FORKING TOM INSTRUCTIONS HAVE THE WRONG GOD DAMN TRANSISTOR LISTED FOR CONTROLLING THIS!!!!

IT CLEARLY SAYS Q48 WHICH IS ON DRIVER BOARD, BUT WRONG

THIS COIL IS DRIVEN BY THE FLIPPER BOARD AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT TRANSISTOR.

WASTED HOURS AND HOURS TRUSTING THE PIECE OF PAPER IN THE MACHINE AND SWING DOOR.

FOK!!! (SMACKS SELF ON HEAD 3X)

GAME WORKS NOW. WAS A BLOWN FUSE ON FLIPPER BOARD

    I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT!

You can always check software. Go to Tests - Solenoids - stop on coil you like. Then hit the start button, and then start hitting the "+" diagnostic button which steps you through coil name, wire colors, fuse, drive transistor, etc.

I wouldn't. You learned more about your game. And learned more about trouble shooting an issue. And your game is now going.
