Hi guys, please help. I have an amazing TOM (gold, modded, topper, other mods...the whole package) and someone is asking me to trade it for a NIB Star Wars Premium (Comic).
I like TOM of course, it is a classic, gorgeous, good toys...but is not very exciting to be honest and is probably the game I play the least (I also own Metallica PREM, JP PREM, World Cup, Medieval M Royal, Ghostbusters Prem, OZ YBR, Circus Voltaire, TZ, and POTC CE...all of them to me are more fun than TOM).

I love the Star Wars theme of course and that draws me, and I know its more exciting than TOM, but is it really more fun? I am also scared that SW has a "very hard" reputation (I am a rookie still and have no real pinball skills, nor does my wife or my 2 year old son who just likes them all now lol)

What would you guys do? (Cant have both because I have limited space).
Thanks a lot!

Is go for SW, you said you don’t play TOM....

I play it, and I like it, but is the least one I play, just because I like my other games more...

Thanks for the advice!

Star Wars is gonna kick your ass on a regular basis! Thinking your family will not like playing it. Sounds like your Tom is in nice shape. Stick with it. You don't know what you've got till its gone .

That's exactly why I havent pull the trigger. Maybe I could set a setting for ball save to the max time possible so it doesnt kick my ass as much and still be fun? (even if that is the case, would it be more fun than TOM?)
Thanks!

Quoted from John_I:

SW by miles and miles. Close the outlanes, tweak the kick outs, lower the number of tie fighters for MB, ball save on right kickout should take care of things for the family.

Great advise!

Quoted from Karl_Hungus:

Gotta add my vote for SW. Especially the comic art. If what I heard about Stern's production numbers (200) I would expect it to go up in value over time. I know the topper is derided to no end on here, but I'd get that too.

I could get the comic version and also the R2D2 topper for 700 bucks...thanks for the advise!

Since you already have MET and JP...I second this suggestion. I had a SWLE for about a year, and while I enjoyed the theme and the complexity, I am not sure I would use the word "fun" to describe it. I have an IMDN Premium and absolutely love it and I think DP is really fun as well.

Thanks! (:

Quoted from Rum-Z:

I bought a SW Comic Premium at the start of the year. It's been a hit with me, and I actually love the moving multiplier. It's unlike any feature in any pinball machine I've played, and if you take advantage of it (you don't have to use it), it makes it feel like quite a rush. Once I'm done playing SW it feels like the next machine I play is in slow motion. I also love the abundance of modes that Dwight has in the game, but then I'm a big fan of modes.
I also own a really nice original TOM. I don't think I've played it in 4 months. I love the smoothness of the shots, but I've owned it for about 10 years and seen everything it has to offer multiple times. I'm thinking about moving it on.

So in other words you think I should accept the deal, ok! Thanks!
