I filled out the "poll" half expecting to see the results 50-50! It turns out, 99 of us(Me included), have good taste in Pinball machines! Yes, I voted for LOTR!
TOM, at first, is a blast! Its a Williams/Bally, so it feels great! Its got a great theam, and fantastic playfield toys for the theam! Even a cool, one way gate, to hit the ramp! But play it long enough, and you'll find out just how shallow it is. (Eprom mod candidate?)
Try the Stern, LOTR. Ok, so the feel of the flippers isn't the same as Williams. But that game rocks! Its got tons on modes and it will keep you entertained for years to come! Playfield toys aren't as exciting as TOM, but over all I'd go with LOTR, hands down.
