    Quoted from pacmanretro:

Quick question....reading back cover, it makes a comment about stainless steel balls....mine all seem to be carbon steel...
    Am I missing something?

You found an error. Not sure if it has the Sears Roebuck "Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" deal.

    #63 1 year ago
    Quoted from pacmanretro:

I remember Sears Roebuck....that was the company that sold tools made in the U.S.A., offered a warranty, and wasn't all but gone (even in name) right?

They're still around. I exchanged three cracked Craftsman sockets at One of their stores yesterday. Of course the new ones are made in China.

They still offer a warranty and honor it on 40 year old tools.

    Quoted from pacmanretro:

SERIOUSLY!!??? Their sockets are Chinese now!?
I sold tools for sears for a little while....so I am kinda harsh.
I knew they still honored handtool warranties, BUT I tried taking in a C-Clamp that bent like second time I used it and they said NO! Turns out it was a China made one even though it was Crapsman (not companion or evolve)...

All three have the phrase that pays.....

I'll wait for whysnow's tips and suggestions on what Todd, as well as we, should do.

Good to know that you are also finding alternative uses for pigeons. What octane is this? [quoted image]

    140, but that's a Metric octane figure....

Wow, "Editor" is taking his family (from a successful marriage) on a cruise. None of us here has ever been able to take our families on cruises, eh?

I love the term "Successful marriage". Heh, When you raise all the kids together in a marriage (so, 20+ years) to go out on their own or get secondary educations, then maybe you can call it successful to that point. Once the kids are on their own the marriage needs to survive until one half of the union is no longer around.

Then maybe you can call it successful.

    Assuming all vows were kept.

    Quoted from PinballBuzz:

Curious, why did you not mention that I am a first to fourth class engineer by trade that has built two buildings, have opened over 7 companies that have employed over 300 people.

Are you a licensed Engineer (PE) or a "gauge reader"?

2 day expedited printing? Did this dolt use Shutterfly for printing? Starting to sound like it.

    After all, he spent $40K.

    Quoted from j_m_:

    I'm sensing a pattern here

    His "successful marriage" trumps all.

    To be CONtinued......

    Quoted from Javaman:

Any chances of buying one signed by Todd?

tamoore has offered to sign his and sell it to me (after he receives and reads it). So, sale pending......

    Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

Here is another example of pinball book history that rhymes with this development present endstate, but was much less contemptible from both the author, interviews, and subject details. Most people won't know the necessarily details of the story, but it can be summarized as a personal quest with excessive costs, but average quality.
The best choice with books is always to try an minimize fanfare until a sample copy can be fully reviewed after publication and try not to piss off the general entirety of the pinball community, because we are too small a hobby even now allow success if public opinion is overtly negative.

    Quoted from SuperDaveOsbourn:

Here's the reality. Gordon H promised years ago to do the remaining X books of 10, those left undone by his friend and cohort. That has never materialized. Self publishing 10 books of high quality is the impossible, 5 books unlikely, 1-2 books that are of that quality and caliber is a huge undertaking. Yet publishing one highly error ridden book on toilet paper stock with chapters missing, and business fraud happening is apparently 100% proven. What has transpired, sad sad sad start to what would have been an otherwise major undertaking. Its much easier to give birth than to resurrect the dead, good luck is all I can muster up on this adventure.

Thank goodness Dick B. only meant for one volume of Lemons, Cherries and Bell Fruit Gum.

    Quoted from Rondogg:

FYI, I emailed them 19 days ago to see what my options were for the duplicate chapter and pm'd him here. No answer.

He should be back from his three week (annual) cruise with his perfect family as a result of his successful marriage.

Keep in mind he's a Class 4 engineer so he can practically pilot the ship.
