Was Kevin kulek there? This sounds like something that he’d do.

    Quoted from pinballrebel:

Messing with a mans truck in Texas is almost as bad as messing with his wife.

I thought that was his horse!

Bad enough you have to get locks for your tires, engine and now your plates.

Have you ever considered using some security bolts designed to slow the license plate thieves down?

This is just one example. There’s a ton out there

If it was a "real" pinhead, they probably had a whole pack of multi bits in their own car, including all the security bits...maybe even in their pocket.

    Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

Can't believe a fellow pinhead would stoop so low (who else would desire such a plate?)

Not likely a fellow pinhead anyway. More likely some douchey wannabe hipster type that just happened to be there and thought the plate was so cool, and screw anybody that has the money to blow on fancy custom plates.

Man, that sucks, hope you find the creep!!

    Quoted from PACMAN:

Dumb question but can't the DMV just send you a new set?

A better question would be would they make you pick a new personalized plate? It seems like they would want to be able to identify the thief and you wouldn't want to be liable if they were doing other illegal activities in a car that had your license plate number (letters) on it.

May the thief be forever cursed with an undiagnosable and unfixable error in his switch matrix.

Appalling. Hopefully it's someone who had a few too many and doesn't normally do that sort of thing but who knows.

Hey pinballrebel , Don't buy new plate frames! I have an extra set. I'll send them to your house compliments of Heather at Titan!

A few notes....make sure you save that police report noting that your plates were stolen...God forbid the thief uses them on a car for a major crime. You DON'T want this to come back to you. Secondly, FWIW, I'm fairly certain that plate theft is a felony. *If* the perp should ever be caught (unlikely) he'll be in some deep stuff. Are you getting an exact replacement plate from your DMV?

    #60 5 years ago

Ridiculous. Last year someone broke into the Project Pinball charity vehicle at the hotel in Orlando.. I mean, it has written all over it that it's a vehicle in support of a kids charity. Makes you wonder what kind of person would do that.

Nope, stealing his horse is worse.

That is really nice of you to offer but I could not use both of mine on my truck because it wouldn't work on the front mount so I had one left to replace the back one.

Yep, already ordered a set. I did file a report and plus I reported it here and mentioned it on my facebook page etc. I doubt they rob a bank with that plate

Someone who has problems that clouds their judgement. That is the kind of person who needs serious help.

What did the thief take from the Proj Pinball vehicle? Tools? Just curious.

The folks at Proj Pinball give a lot of themselves. Sure is disappointing to read that that happened to them.

You know who ever stole this plate will probably put it on their wall in the basement. Years may pass, but one day they’ll sell a game from their basement and one of the buyers that come to look at the game will notice the plate on the wall. Maybe the buyer will also be on pinside and remember this thread.

I doubt anything will happen to this thief, but the pinball community is fairly small, and I imagine one day it will be seen again.

Maybe I missed it, but what did the plate say? What state? Assume Texas?

You know I used to not think this but it is starting to get that way. Bad apples in every hobby.

I was parked across the street at the Hyatt, glad I still have my pinball license plate frame. Would have been ballsy to take mine as the truck was parked out in the open just off to the side of the front entrance. Sorry yours got stolen along with your plate, that's chicken shit and BS in my book.

What's hilarious is that your only downvote is by a user named "pinball-is-great"

I heard about this at the show. That sucks. Sorry man.

    #74 5 years ago

Karma’s a bitch, one day someone will steal something a lot more valuable from them and they’ll wonder why such a bad thing ever happened to them.

    #75 5 years ago

Pingraffix has I’d rather be playing pinball frames, I will ship you a new one if you’d like?

I had a woman steal my heart once; Then she threw it out like it was a piece of garbage. Coincidentally, she's in Texas these days.

Do all your exes live in Texas? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

When this person orders a whataburger with no tomato and bites into a tomato the world be right.

Small hobby, all it takes is one Pinside/visitor to see them.

I don't think some people realize how pathetic they really are.
