Sold the game and a month later saw it listed on Craigslist again, the guy that bought it used a sander to get down to the original paint and actually didn't mess it up too awful bad.

Nice ending. Isopropyl alcohol removes latex paint nicely if you ever want to try again. It’s possible that the beige wasn’t latex. Maybe someone has some leftover oil in their garage and slapped it on the cab.
