Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Some games, simply require a blending of many types of bulbs, as well as various brightness, of course. Others, the same type bulb can go everywhere, and look fine.

Quoted from arcademojo:My led job on my TAF. I only changed 3 GIs on the playfield to color match the plastics. The rest are cool white frosted. Used several blues in the backglass. Still need to change the one behind uncle fester back to white. Don't like the blue tint on him at all but like the blues in the house.
TAF needs pinstadium in the worst way.
Quoted from TheLaw:Nothing needs Pinstadium lights.
You've never seen them in person and hate LEDs. Haha
Quoted from TheLaw:I don't know what you mean...I've seen pinstadium lights and they are fucking awful.
EDIT: haha
Well then you just have poor taste and love shitty Dim GI.
Haha.
Quoted from TheLaw:Well Chuck, if you don't go out of your way to throw a whole bunch of over powered LEDs into every part of your game, you don't have to keep increasing the overall light level to even things out.
We've always got along, but you're not making a lot of sense here. I have LEDS in literally ALL of my machines. EMs, SS, DMDs, and of course the new Sterns which are all LEDs; So yeah I don't know where this is coming from.
Sorry. Just thought you hated LEDs based off previous comments so not liking a LED mod makes sense.
Games like shadow and TAF have HORRIBLE GI setups from factory and no matter how you LED them they are still black everywhere. Aside from putting spots every two inches, I think something like pinstadium is a fantastic solution. I guess that type of LED work is not your cup o tea but the rest is. My bad.
Quoted from vid1900:They were designed to be shadowy.
That sets the mood for the entire game.
Well in my opinion it takes away from being able to see the ball and playfield well which is much more important as a player.
Quoted from vid1900:Try not to "see" the ball.
Anticipate it's arrival by the physics, timing and sounds of the table.
Then you will become champion.
Thanks Obi Wan. Haha
