If a TNA rerun happens, it will have the same lower "Retro" cabinet, but will have the new LCD mount, like R&M, in the head.

The reason I did not put this in a standard cabinet, was because all the dead vertical space looked weird and this was supposed to be a retro style game just like the classic Bally games of the late 70's and early 80's. Remember, I originally built the homebrew version of this game in a classic Bally cabinet.

Adding ramps to the game is going to require significant geometry changes and modifications to the existing playfield and plastics, but hey, let's see what you can do. Following!

Dumb question... Why not make a homebrew game?

Hey Loganpinball I want to apologize for the unfriendly words I said on a podcast about this project. As a maker, and advocate of others creating, this was a mistake on my part. I honestly think that modifying your own stuff is a very fun thing to do. In this case, I was a bit defensive over seeing the pictures of my friend's art being pulled off the game and replaced. It wasn't my place to react that way and I am sorry.

I have also done my fair share of modifying. I had Earthshaker Prototype #2 and gutted the electronics on it to install a P-ROC system in it. Nothing is safe in my house.

I look forward to seeing what you do with this and how this turns out.

Quoted from Loganpinball:

Good point, maybe someone will come up with a solution to that in the future. To be fair I killed it. Out of respect I will never bother Scott with this project.

Why not? JK JK.
OK, here is what you need to do. You will need to contact Spooky and have them sell you a new UP Board with the TNA image on it. Once you get that, be sure to run a code update. Just make sure you do not accidentally swap the LCD and the PC power cables.

Also test before powering up the new PC that no voltages are crossed anywhere in the machine. PC should be 5vdc, LCD should be 12vdc. You can test these voltages at the rail on the power distribution board in the back of the machine to be sure everything is happy.

Quoted from Loganpinball:

Morgan is going to program and send me a new one. Spooky’s customer service is excellent and they really are a good company. I hope they continue to grow and hammer out games.
And thank you Sir. I will check everything prior to powering it up. Those wires are labelled!

Excellent! That is great news!

What is it doing on startup? Is the monitor saying anything like "No Signal"? Is the little green/Red LED on the back of the monitor doing anything on startup?
--Scott

Sounds to me like the monitor is not getting power. Can you test that the DC barrel plug is giving 12v to the monitor?

Yeah, seems the LCD controller and/or LCD screen is messed up. If the controller is bad, no big deal, you can send me a message at [email protected] and I can throw one on the site for you that is flashed with the proper firmware.

Yeah, it will not boot blind. Also, you have a couple dead LEDs. Everything shoudl be white on startup, not pink or teal. Yeah, that board on the back of the LCD seems to be dead.

Not a problem. Some of your playfield LEDs are not working right as they should be white upon boot up. You can see your pop, a GI, and an insert light are not white. You should replace these.

Here are the parts:
