    Where in TN?

    #6 6 years ago

Do you have to be there to bid??

    #7 6 years ago

Let the high prices begin. Remember to add about 20% to the winning bid.

    #8 6 years ago

Website says you have to be there to bid.

Bummer, wish I was in GA. Looks like some real nice pins!

    #10 6 years ago

I've been to that auction before. High prices High fees, lots of buybacks.

But that G&R looks really tempting....

Looks like agreat variety this time too.

    #11 6 years ago

Thanks Bob for the pictures. Are you going to list the prices afterward ?

    #12 6 years ago

    Sure will

Hmm, that banzai run looks a bit rough, but very curious what it will go for. As borderline sacrilegious as it sounds, I've always wanted to find a beat one to try to retheme.

    #14 6 years ago

I’m interested in the arcades behind the pins. Any chance on a list of those?

    #15 6 years ago

Looks like a lot of nice pins, too bad the prices tend to be high with lots of fees added too.

    #16 6 years ago

Too many arcades to list prices.

agreed!!! what did it go for?

    #18 6 years ago

    Nice selection, anyone know prices?

    #19 6 years ago

I went to this today, but alas I had to leave before the pinballs went to auction. Their was an Eros Cocktail machine that went for pretty cheap early on.

While this topic is active if there's anyone from western Nc or anyone off of 1-40 who travels through asheville on their way home from this show regularly I could use rental space for one machine in your truck next time. I will pay your gas for your entire trip if I win a machine and I live two miles off 1-40 in asheville so would be a good dinner break on way home. I wanted that funhouse but I'm sure it went too high. Seriously though if you bring a big truck to the show and want to rent some space to me let me know before the next show.

Asheville....what? We are neighbors to some degree. I'll also participate in your request, if there are any takers. Buddy doughslingers is close (VA), and suspect there is opportunity here......mark

MK6PIN yep. I've been a pinball fan for over twenty years but one of these shows I'll buy my first machine. I just don't have the car with space to bring it home lol.

    #22 6 years ago

That Star Trek machine was nice today.

Is this an add "Premium" and tax situation? So a FH at 3200 is a $4000 purchase?

    #27 6 years ago

For some, others only a small additional fee

Thoght it was 20 percent and also taxed?

Stargate and dude appear to be the only decent prices in the bunch.

STLE @ 5800. seemed very in line....I would have grabbed it, cash on the spot.....

(w/ color DMD....gives me a nice bar as I pursue one...)

Think its closer to 7300 out the door after fees

that's insane that "fees" end up being almost 2k.

Agree w that....so finding one in the wild for $5800.00 is not realistic? I can now see the lucrative nature of the secondhand markup.

That's not an auction....rather controlled extortion, if the rates are that dramatic. Someone had to be willing to take $5800.00 for that machine.

    #34 6 years ago

Fees are 10% up to $100 plus tax of about 10% in TN. Total fees on the STLE $100 + $580 = $680

    #35 6 years ago

    Thanks Bob for prices.

$6480 then? A good deal for someone, I believe (based on condition, of course). Seems more in line..congrats to whoever got it...

guess I need to pay attention to these more....seems everytime I looked in the past, everything was routed heavy, or expensive. Guess with all the new pins coming out, there are good deals for even high end models, if your lucky or patient (neither of which I'm good at)....

    #40 6 years ago

I thought it was usually around 20 percent more than the hamner price...at least thats what ive been told.

I would bet this was a buy back. If not, killer deal.

See Wolfy post above. When they were in md and PA, it was 10% if cash, 13% credit, plus tax. Great deals on vids.

    #43 6 years ago

IMO, it was the best overall condition of machines I have seen. Been doing this for 10+ years and I think 90% of this lineup worked and was not blown out. Obviously a few rough ones but great auction to attend to meet/greet and play some games even if you do not buy.

Yeah. It was worth my drive just to play Star Trek, Xmen and funhouse on free play. I always got off after one game in case anyone else wanted to try but still was able to get in multiple games

    #45 6 years ago

Fees are only capped for operators not the gen public.

Someone off the street will pay about 18% over than hammer price or more if you use a cc.

It can be a good deal if you have an ops license and a sales tax exemption cert.

I think a buyback only costs 10$ so those high priced newer machines aren’t really selling.

That was the best lineup I’ve seen up there.

What time did the pins start? They usually do them last and start about 2 ish.

    Bob did u buy anything?

What kind of shape was the congo in?

As far as I know there were no BuyBacks. Of course you never know but you can usually tell. I only purchased the space station for parts along with some arcade stuff. The Congo was pretty nice if I recall someone else might chime in with more info.
