Hello everyone!
I'm just looking for advice for replacing the original data east DMD in my ninja turtles pin. The previous owner sold me a spare (unused/"new") DMD as a backup. Before knowing what options I had for replacing the DMD, I happily agreed to buy the spare during the pinball purchase. I have since learned there are LED replacements that appear to be easier to install, and more dependable (given the shorter life of the plasma). I'm just wondering if it's worth using this spare that's already paid for, and assume it will last for many years...home use only. On the other hand, I could buy a new LED display and hopefully end up with a more reliable, and easier to install, screen. If you guys were in my shoes, would you consider selling the plasma and getting an LED? I'm assuming the plasma displays are not exactly a desirabe item. I did have a hard time finding a new plasma online (for price checking purposes).
As always, I appreciate all your feedback. I am really enjoying the maintenance required in owning this pin. It's a great hobby.
