I have titan bands on most of my machines. I thought about giving super bands a shot on a game. Would they be better on an older game like a Catacomb or something newer? The extra bounce factor sounds like it may play well in an 80’s title. Any thoughts?

    Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:

Why are people describing Super-bands as more bouncy?
The rebound coefficient, in descending order:
    1. Silicone (Perfect Play, Titan)
    2. Rubber (OEM Stern/JJP)
    3. Polyurethane (Super-bands)
Super-bands are murder to get on and, once on, they're hard as rocks. Worst for bounce passing, for sure. Simple rubber is my favorite.

Couple thoughts, as I recall vid did a detailed comparison where he found the super-bands were more bouncy than the Titan bands. That is entirely what I framed my question on; I have no direct knowledge as I’ve only hitherto used Titans and regular rubbers.

Also, I thought Titan were polyurethane. I don’t know the difference in silicone and polyurethane. I really love my titan bands which are on the bulk of my collection. They are amazing; I just trying competing products from time to time. I need to order another fatigue mat from Titan, might do that today.

I think Superbands have less bounce

Thanks for the link. Very helpful!

    Quoted from John_I:

Super Bands have little or no bounce. Makes it easy to do a drop catch and almost impossible to do a dead flipper pass. They are also really sticky, so the slightest amount of spin on the ball results in major changes in shot direction and loss of accuracy. When they first came out, I thought they were cool because of how they looked and all the colors. After buying a bunch and using them for a while, I pulled them all off my machines and threw them in the trash.

Yep, that sounds like the absolute opposite of what I want. I’ll stick with my Titans and just order more of those. Thanks for the feedback.

Quick question: I’ve heard that color can impact some aspects of the bands. Is that correct? If so, which colors have what attributes in Titans? Or is that only in normal rubbers?
