I'm starting a major refurb job on a Gottlieb Central Park. The last/first EM refurb I did (KoD), I went with traditional rubber. However after helping my son w/ a school science project comparing elasticity of pinball bands for rubber, silicone and polyurethane, we noticed the Titan silicone bands performed more like rubber than poly as far as a natural bounce from a sling; at least from our test apparatus. But... proof is in the pudding. Has anyone used Titan's silicone bands on an EM machine? If so, do you like them better/worse than rubber for EM? My gut feeling from the testing we did is to go ahead with the Titan silicone bands to gain longevity but retain similar elastic characteristics. I sorta ruled out poly bands as I was a little worried that they would be a bit too tight and the coils couldn't fire strong enough against them. Thoughts?

I have them on my Jungle Princess, Card Whiz, Quick Draw, Eye of the Tiger, and other EMs. They all work GREAT

Thanks for the feedback. You got me convinced!

I have them on my Grand Prix, and they work great. But then again, I have them on all my games. The only game I don't have them on is Gottlieb Ship Ahoy, but that was because it had already come with a traditional rubber set when I got the game. But when I have to replace them, I'll be going with Titan.

Titans all day long! The white rings are indistinguishable from real rubber and they clean and wear better. I have them on Jet Spin, Hot Line and even my 1947 Coed.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Very helpful.

Interesting about the titan rings... given the loss of elasticity of rubber rings over the years (they just don't use a lot of rubber any more), I can see why folks like titans.

Are they the same width as rubber?

Titan on my Grand Prix, Drop A Card, & Magic Circle. Even used them on the DAC & MC flippers. No issues.

    Quoted from NicoVolta:

RPM is all-Titan on our EM's.

I'm shocked I tell you, Shocked!
