More a brain teaser too ...
What major US city name can be typed using only only one side of a qwerty keyboard?
I’ll give a couple hints later if needed.

Just one clue should do it ... it's a state capital.
There's a derelict nuclear site in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania, where they tried to build a nuclear plane starting in the 1950s

That’s an interesting q ... my guess is Panama?
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Without looking at a map....
If you're in the city of Detroit and go directly south, what would be the first country you'd be in? (Not counting the USA)
Continuing the maps and Panama theme ...
A ship is going from the Atlantic to the Pacific through the Panama Canal. What direction is it going?
No googling or maps, please.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:South?
Close, Southeast.
There's a stretch of land in Panama where the Atlantic is due west of the Pacific. You can watch the sun rise over the Pacific and set over the Atlantic.
slide_36 (resized).jpgIn 1995, Derek Jeter batted .250 (12 hits in 48 at bats) and David Justice .253 (104/411). Justice was better.
In 1996, Jeter hit .314 (183/582) and Justice .321 (45/140). Again, Justice was the better hitter.
Yet ... who was a better hitter over that stretch of 2 years?
Isn't San Marino an independent country, so there must be three?
Like VC it's also landlocked in Italy.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:You are correct. It's three. I brain farted on San Marino. Nice catch!
You must be a fellow geography hobbyist. I was the only little kid around who collected maps years ago.
Speaking of which, you especially must know that Canada has the longest coastline by far.
Which country has the second longest?
(I had a good idea about it but had to google to double-check)
Quoted from ImNotNorm:I've always been a geography nut. As a kid my parents would buy placemats for the supper that were geography related. (World, Canada, USA,etc)
So once my plate was empty I would look at the maps
Russia?
Awesome! Or as they say in Norway, Rått!

Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes.
Saskatchewan has how bodies of water?
I had no clue, googled it, and
Quoted from txx3ddq442:Haven't scrolled through all of this, but I'd go with Denver.
Close, but the n is a right hand key, and all others are left.
Like Denver, the answer is a state capital.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Honolulu? Is it even considered a major city?
This is a tough one
Yep! And I agree it’s a bit of a stretch. I could’ve been more specific and said a top 50 metro area, which it is.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:So it's not Honolulu?
No, you got it. It is Honolulu — all of those letters are typed with your right hand on the keyboard.
An earlier guess of Denver was incorrect.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:What African country is the only one that was never colonized?
Total guess ... Kenya?
The flag one was tough. I thought Uganda or another former dictatorship. I’ll have to look up why Mozambique has that on their flag.
Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:This has to be super easy.
First song ever played on MTV
(I miss the days when it was all music videos, then for a while VH-1 was good also)
More trivia ... I think it was another big milestone video on mtv, like 20 years ago. I remember the hoopla - plus thinking that mtv didn’t play music videos anymore even back then!
Googled it and it was the one millionth video when they played it in 2000.
The lead singer of the buggles was Trevor Horn, who became a huge music producer and a member of Yes. The other buggles member joined Asia as their keyboardist. Thanks Wikipedia.
Quoted from Jaybird815:Nope, it’s neither horror or gangster, Matthew MacConaughey was in it but not the lead actor
Wolf of Wall Street?
Quoted from hwyhed:What athlete was googled the most in 2019?
Worldwide ... Ronaldo or Messi
Quoted from ImNotNorm:What was the first video ever uploaded to Youtube?
Iirc one of the founders went to the zoo?
Geography and pop culture ...
Complete this song: "Albania! Albania! You border on the ___"
What now classic tv show was that from? (Many of us of a certain age grew up watching it in prime time.)
What tune was it to? That is, what's the original song?
