I did put a machine, some pinball parts and other stuff on Craigslist.

All the low-ball offers and crazy questions are signed with: "Sent from CPlus for Craigslist app" so I just added a filter to trash those. If you sell on craigslist, try a search on CPlus and you will see that those are all time-wasters.

Would you feel better with no response whatsoever, real or spam or scam? That's whats going on with me, must be a conspiracy.

I take all correspondence. Sometimes it is a pain.

After two weeks the scammers will leave you alone and your phone and text will go silent.

Don’t lose hope and don’t lose patience. If you are not priced out in left field eventually you might get some action.

After about a month or 6 weeks a scammer or two might hit on you again.

It does not cost you anything to keep ad running. Be patient. Be nice to all. If you have thin skin then grow some. A low baller could could come back and turn into a buyer.

Learn the fine art of negotiation.

    You just never know.

    What is cplus?
    I have never seen that.

I thought the easiest way to spot a lowballer was to reply to those "WTB- Pinball Machines- Paying Top Dollar" ....

The only reason it says that is because that’s the app everyone uses not becaUse they are low ballers. I use the same app because you can search multiple cities

CPlus can be found at Apple’s AP Store. For free.

You can search for pins in over 400 cities.

    Clearly a scammer app.

Sounds like that app let's them search all over the country ... so they looking for a steal to justify the time to drive and get it or to pay and have it shipped ...

I hate the scammers > usually starts with a copy and paste of my ad title > "NICE ... Pinball machine" still available? ... Next message is > I live out of state but I will mail you a check and have my shipper pick up" .... I send them nasty text messages back ... and if I am really angry that day > I call the number in the middle of the night ...

If you don’t want to deal with the scammers don’t include your phone number with your Craigslist ad. Just use the CL contact mailer.

    End of the scammer problem.

I use that app daily. It lets me search all of the cities within what I feel is a reasonable driving distance for a pin. I bought a Taxi 3 hours away in Ft. Wayne and a Pinbot 2.5 hours away in Oscoda using that app. Found a piece of machinery that I was searching for in Lansing 4 weeks ago. Love that app.
