I recently acquired a new Time Warp project. Excited to get started on it, through it will probably be a slow process. My plan is to do a full restoration. Take a peek!

Came with a bonus, non-functional case fan!:

The backglass has seen better days. It's pretty much flaked at every bulb location. So I'll be planning to track down a replacement.

The game came without MPU and Driver boards, so I've added the Rottendog combo board.

Tested all of the voltages coming off of the power supply board and everything checked out good. Once the Rottendog was in, I re-connected all of the connectors and fired it up. Immediately on power-up the solenoid fuse lit up and blew. So I did a quick check of all the solenoids and found this:

Yikes. So I disconnected that coil, and now she boots up fine without blowing fuses. For the most part, everything seems to be working. Lamps are lighting, solenoids are firing. The right eject is super weak, and can't get the ball kicked back out into play. The most glaring issue is...no sound! I checked all the connections and wiring to the speaker, and that all seems fine. Plus I am getting pops and subtle blurgs of sound coming out of there, so my guess is maybe something is up with the sound board. It looks like some (not all) of the caps have been replaced. None of the jumper mods have been done. So I've pulled it out of there and I'll add the mods suggested by barakandl and replace the header connectors:

Here's a closer look at the board, before any work is done:

Finally got a new 6802 chip to plug into the sound board, and that seemed to fix the issue. We have sound! I still haven't made the jumper mods on the back of the board, but I will do that. For now though, I got the old socket pulled out of there (Scanbe!), replaced it with a new one and dropped in the new 6802.

The next issue I need to tackle is...

Activating the flippers during a game causes the game to end and go into Game Over mode. Maybe a short or a bad coil someplace? Seems to happen with either the left or right flipper. Not sure where to start, but I'll dig into it soon. Anyone experienced a similar issue?

The displays also do not work now. They were working previously, so not sure if that is related to my flipper issue or not. Could be a separate deal.

Quoted from Bax1:

looks to be in decent shape. highly recommend doing the flipper coil upgrade. Just did it on mine and really makes the game fun.

For sure. Definitely plan on doing that. Did you just buy new full flipper assemblies?
