Hi All.

Fixing up a Data East Time Machine. Have repaired the PSU and locked up CPU board so now the game boots in to attract mode.

The issue is it won't start a game as it says "ball missing".

# All 3 balls are in the Trough
# The outhole switch and 3x Trough switches all register in switch test.
# When the balls are on the switches they do activate

So in theory all should work?

I have noticed one weird thing though and it's probably the issue...

when no balls are in the Trough and you drop a ball in the Outhole - it fires it across to Trough #3 as it should.

BUT when you drop the next ball in it doesn't fire it across.

and then if you roll them over by hand you are back to the original scenario above...

So basically because the machine hasn't fired all 3 balls across itself it seems to think the balls are missing....WTF?

ANOTHER way to explain it is once Ball Trough 3's switch is activated - the Outhole stops kicking

Found it - previous owner has put the switch driver transistor in the wrong way round.. AAAARRRGGGHH
