I am working on a friend's Time Fantasy. He said while playing the displays went out. So when I pulled the backglass I found this. 20220925_112452 (resized).jpg
It is a sk3202 transistor with the cover broken. 20220925_115358 (resized).jpg
Would this be the cause of the display not functioning, and if so is there a better transistor to replace it with? Thanks for any info I can get.

the substitute is MJE15030 but can't be put in as per the original.

Thank you for the information. Not knowing the specs of the transistors in question, i am assuming that these I found on the internet are not the same, drop in replacements?
