Very weird experience...I had a LOT of beers tonight, then played my favorite pins, IM and Fathom. Everything seemed very sped up, including the audio...voices sounded totally wrong! Has this ever happened to you? It really freaked me out.

Quoted from Mr68:I can't decided if this is a clever fake or not. Real drunk postings have misspelled words, caPiToL leTTers, exclamation points!!!!!, pictures of bOObs or a belief of invisibility to moderators.
The iPad fixes all of that for me. I can tell how drunk I am by how many words get auto-corrected. I think it was most of them last night. And it was all Dale' Pale Ale - maybe hops have some psychotropic effects.
I'm happy to report that the games (and my brain) are back to normal today. Amy doesn't freak me out now.
Quoted from pinnyheadhead:Everything going OK tonight John? I mean the speed of things is normal. Right? But what if it is not?
Watched "Pixels" in the home theater with the family tonight. I really wanted to play DK and Galaga on the multicade after, but I counted my empties and decided it wouldn't be prudent.
Ugh, it happened again. It's not good. Seriously. If I can still type, and time speeds up while playing...I must have a problem. Please don't laugh; I'm really worried. Might be related to that time I met Stephen Hawking in an elevator. For reals.
Mods, please move to OT.
I know people think I'm screwing around; I'm not. Alcohol has never betrayed my senses like this before. Time speeding up 30-40% is not cool.
Quoted from Hauntflies:If it's honestly making you feel that way it's not cool. Time to lay off the hooch for a while and see a doctor.
I'm taking this advice.
Quoted from Whysnow:I have thought this was a spoof thread???
Is this for real?
If so, then first question is what is your drink of choice and afetr how many does this occur?
Last night, it was Spaten Optimator (very tasty 7% beer). I drank all 6, I think. It's not a spoof, it's a really strange and unpleasant feeling. Music, gameplay, everything sped up. I don't need to figure it out, I'll just stop doing it.
Quoted from Mr68:Sobriety is over rated.
I did it for 5 years once. That guy was a lot skinnier and better-looking.
