We received a Time 2000 pin this week, with some other pins. I'm thinking of sending the boards out and fixing the molestation that some one did to this machine previously. The problem is the last time I ran into this Atari pin, it was in a dumpster behind a skating rink!

The machine lights up, the back glass is in poor shape, and one of the connectors (pictured) is totaled. Yes nice wire nuts!

What are your thoughts?

I'm having the boards sent out, I want them checked out and running 100%. I will rebuild the edge connector and get this pin up and running. Thank you for all your input!

This afternoon we realized the cabinets original color was green. The serial number reads "PROTO 0029". The play field plastics are also different than the standard Time 2000.

The paperwork inside the cabinet also reads "The Atarians".

It's Alive! The main board has been repaired and the power board upgraded. It's "time" for a new owner!

Quoted from bkxdream:

Is there an outlane between the two sets of flippers (under the Triple Bonus w/ lit light)? It looks like there's a rollover under that yellow plastic. Congrats on your game. Love this title.

Yes that's an outlane under the yellow plastic.

Quoted from bkxdream:

I'd never seen that on any of the games I played. Looking at the manual on IPMD (page 12), it's an adjustment. But there's no rollover switch like yours has. What does your switch score?

This is a prototype the play field is different than the the production model.

Quoted from racer_x:

Semi-necro thread bump...
Be careful with glo-balls or power balls...I cracked a couple of plastics in my Middle Earth with a glo-ball.
Did OP ever get this sold?

No I still have the pin, I never put it up for sale.

Found the side connectors for the Atari board, don't panic it's on J6 as a test fit only. These connectors fit snug and make good contact with the board, unlike the old connectors!

The original Atari flipper assemblies have been replaced, anyone know what type they are?

Quoted from MarAlb:

We have 2 Time 2000 games, one is running, the other is used for spare parts. Both have the Ledex motors installed.

This machine had the Ledex rotary flippers, they were replaced with Atari linear flippers before I received the pin. They work rather well so I'm going to leave them alone.

The repair to the J7 connector is done, there was some mickey mouse club wiring going on under the PF. The left drain magnetic switch was connected to both the left and right drain, and the right drain magnetic switch was connected to the far right flipper. (J7) 17 and 18 previously had the wire nuts on them and are the right and left drain magnetic switches.
