When I returned from the NW Pinball Show I was informed that a member of our pinball community, Tim McDaniel, passed away. Tim was a great guy, I know people tend to say that about anyone that has recently passed but trust me people who knew him were better people. He was widely known on our local pinball group GAPAS (Georgia Pinball Appreciation Society) as "Unknutty".
His death was a freak accident, Tim was a farmer and when he walked into his barn last Tuesday he ran into a crowbar which struck him right above his eye. The wound swelled to the point his eye was closed. Then Saturday his mother found him in his chair unconscious, they rushed him to the hospital where they did surgery. At midnight it was looking better for him but unfortunately at 6am he passed away. The impact had busted a blood vessel and the blood pooled and put pressure on his brain. He was 44 years old. I will miss him greatly.
Joseph Pond, his best friend in the pinball community, will be assisting the family with Tim's pinball collection and such.
