After days of play and lighting the Blue Score feature a few times I finally lit and
hit " Three In Blue Section Scores 300"!!!
Well, the counter started 100, then 200, then 300, then 400, then 500, then 600
and so on!!!
Any idea what would stop the blue replay counter from continually counting???

I think I'm missing some context here..

"Coyote",
I hit three in blue scores 300 and the counter never stopped.
I shut the pin off after 600 + replays!!

... WHAT GAME?
You didn't link a game to the topic.

Quoted from Coyote:

Coyote, Terry1 is commenting on his Bingo Game. Hopefully the one in his avatar.

Terry, 200 to 300 can be done. not sure of up to 600 replays. There are many Bingo guys on here that will hopefully respond soon.

Ah, that clears it up. I didn't/couldn't recognize the game in the pic..

Looks like Bikini.

Terry1, on the backglass, your game shows a reward of a maximum of 600. That 600 replays would most likely be a rare occurrence.

There's an open at 50 and an open at 75 switch switch on the blue score counter. When the 3 in blue for 300 is lit, the open at 75 switch should open and stop the counter (after 75 pulses through CU 12B). Check to make sure that normally closed switch opens properly. The open at 50 switch controls the larger 600 hits.

Sorry about that guys. Yes it is my Bally Bikini bingo machine.

"okorange" I see two NC contacts on the blue replay counter
and a SPDT switch.
The open at 50 and open at 75, are they the two NC switches?

#11 6 years ago

Yes, and the switch you want to look at is the open at 75.

Once I got the 3 in blue lit again and I forced a 3 in blue!
I noticed the blue score fine tooth disc , sometimes will not advance on a
pulse from the armature! I manually moved the armature(with power off)
and noticed it was not returning to de-energized position.
I would think that the return spring should allow the arm. to return!

#13 6 years ago

Yep, common issue since the construction of the blue score counter is different than all the others, and is exercised infrequently.

Okorange's advice is spot on.

The spring not forcing the ratchet action just sounds like dirt. The relay armature spring could be worn, but there should also be an adjustment in that coil's position, if I recall correctly. Take a close look there.

#14 6 years ago

Nick, there is a nut and bolt to allow the coil to allow the armature more movement!
Okorange, I don't know which switch is which, 50 or 70, but both open when they drop
in the cam!!!
I would think that the spring should allow the lever(armature) to return(doing this manually
with out power)to allow the next tooth to be moved.
Adding movement to the coil, I think, should not have an effect on the return spring returning
via a manual push to the right of the armature.

I see three NC contacts on the " 300 wheel of Fortune"
Do the all open when the cam goes by.If so the furthest set out
with the bar actuator never opens!
I got a great tip from Phil H. I cleaned the shaft that the
wheel turns on. It was, as Phil said it would be, cruddy!!
I cleaned it all with alcohol and lubed with 3 in 1, now works like
a clock.
Just wondering about that third set of contacts???

#16 6 years ago

They all open up at some point, speaking from memory. If it doesn't there's something maladjusted.

Thanks Nick

All switches now close except when they encounter the cam.
I forced a blue scores 300, then, I got 292 games.
At least it stopped.
A couple more questions, of course;
What would be considered the home position for the cam?
Is there an adjustment for exactly 300, or 600?
If I stop the cam, say making an adjustment, should I consider where I
leave the cam or would it get home on it's own.

#19 6 years ago

The game treats that as a continuous stepper. The opening and closing of the switches determines when it stops. Examine which switches are open at 292 and adjust so that it opens later. It is probably only two clicks off.

It will automatically ratchet back to initial position if not on index.

A revelation, maybe two!
The switch that has the pin that drops in the cam is the switch that stops the
counter. And, as always, it was the switch that remained closed!!!!
Not having my trusty blade bender, I tweaked the contact near the bin;
guess what, that made the blade/pin shorter, meaning the switch stopped a
bit late, to the tune of 304 games.
I will force a 300 hit again, after I bend the blade properly, and see if I get
two consistent counts; then maybe a tweak of the complete contacts, since
they have slotted holes for this purpose, I assume.
Stayed tuned!

Success! 300 now = 300.
After I cleaned the wheel and shaft, I forced two(2 in blu scores 300) games to get a
consistent count( 304 twice)!
I then JUST backed off the two screws that hold the two switches plates in question, just
enough to have to tap the switches bracket to move them a hair closer to the cam.
I did , just in case, mark where the bracket was, in case I had loosened to bracket
to much and the movement was to far!!!
A few pics
p.s. my flash shows the brackets in worse shape than they really are!!!
