Is this a joke of some sort??

Thank you for the heads up; you obviously are not trying to give this stuff away, but it is nice to have these organized online as an option. 5 or 10 bucks to get your game running is easy to swallow (I realize not all of the parts are that cheap, but most seemed to be).

If you are trying to NOS out a game, or build one from scratch... these are not the parts you are looking for. And that's okay.

    #6 8 years ago

Hi guys, it was quite a process to catalog the thousands of parts we had. These are all NOS parts in most cases and not copies or repros.

Nice thing is we are a small and approachable shop. Our owner is very accessible and if you feel perhaps we have mis-priced an item please email John direct: jrr at flippers.com and let him know.

    #7 8 years ago

Could you tell me if the flipper coils listed are NOS? If a repro does it say in the description box or next to picture.

I appreciate it takes a lot of time. But would also recommend arranging it into parts by game...for those of us lazy not to look at the manual
Also I put the part no and didn't come up with anything had to look through 790+ pictures to find part

Thanks for the feedback, glad you found what you were looking for.

Yes NOS unless listed otherwise. If you are unsure or it's not clear on the site before you order please email John at jrr at flippers.com and he will confirm.

Good suggestions overall, can you PM me pls with some more details about the part etc and we can see about adding more info in general. Surprised part number search didn't bring it up let me look into it.

Seems pricey, but if you have something I cannot get elsewhere I'd certainly order. Just wish you had some capcom parts.

We do have some, this first batch was Williams, Bally and Allied Leisure.

Next up will be Stern, Data East, Capcom etc.

Our Gottlieb stock is already up to date.

If there is a specific part you are seeking please email the shop direct thanks.

    $6.50US for a ball... That's pricey.

while I'm appreciative of anyone selling NOS parts, I too have to question how you determine your pricing?

Hi thanks, in some cases there was no ability to compare a price as there was no other vendor online with that product on offer. Rather than not offer the items we had to put a price on them.

As stated above before, should you be interested in an item but have a question on price please email John at jrr at flippers.com.

    Hope this helps, thanks.

I have done a good deal of business with John. Have picked up NOS parts for Computer Space games and Allied Leisure Pinballs. Have bought games as well. His prices are not cheap but NOS hard or impossible to find items never are. John has a staff and overhead and has to charge prices that reflect that. Buy with confidence from a great guy that is an asset to the hobby.

    Hi Rob,

Which ball was $6.50? If that is 20A-8862 that is one I shall review tomorrow (Monday) and likely drop in price. That does seem high for a steel ball. Thanks!

We do have errors in the prices - some too low(I usually don't catch those until we get cleaned out), others are reasonable (considering rarity, and our overhead) and some are probably out of line.

Happy to consider adjusting prices up or down if you think it is too cheap or too expensive! Note I said consider...

Ah, that is a bit of black magic based on being in the business for 35+ years of selling and servicing games.

If the part is common, then the price is similar to the other sellers.

Sometimes the price is too low and I get cleaned out of a particular item rather quickly (already happened for some parts) - that's life!

If the part is NOS and rare, then (to be honest) I try and guess what the market will bear. You have to understand we often only have a few of these items, and when they are sold, that is the end. It's not like we have a time machine and can get more parts as these sell out!

I have considered allowing the web site to show how many of any single item is in stock, but - I'm just not sure if that is a good idea or not. Convince me otherwise - please!

If you think I am out of line on a price please let me know! I may not adjust the price, but I will consider your request.

Appreciate any and all comments! I will try to read and respond here at least once in a while. However you have to understand that I have a business to run, Xmas is coming and I have many projects on the go.

    Projects include:

    1) finishing the next upgrade to the Bally Home pinball code to simplify installation on the 3850/3851 boards,

    2) getting my 6530 adapter on the site (final edits done on that in the next week or so), this will give proper tone frequencies on Gottlieb System 1 and System 80 6530 based sound boards!

    3) finishing a conversion of a Seeburg M100A from 45RPM records to 33-1/3 LPs - a really cool conversion that I am photographing and will add to the site - if I ever have time!

    4) Allied Leisure drop target paddles should be in from the fabricator for testing soon...

And a few more projects I'm not quite ready to talk about just yet.

Do post as you get those online. For the most part I only dole out for my pinball magic because it is a true keeper. Easier to justify paying 15 bucks for parts that are 2.50 for a williams.

    #18 8 years ago

Super happy to see some of these parts- not very happy with prices. In fact- I actually shut the page down and wwill not be back- 90 bucks for a wiper arm for a Williams 1970 era EM? 300 for a single score reel/credit assembly- sorry- just not going to bother looking past this. I can buy an entire game for those prices-

I hate to do this- its a new thread, your business is legit- just super suprised you think these are real prices- maybe this is why I had never heard of you before. To bad- it looks like you have parts many could use, but your going to be spending as much time revising prices as you did inventing them-

So do y'all have to pay pinside a fee for every part or purchase made, based on new pinside rules?

If I place a marketplace ad here, I have to pay a fee if I sell something, right?

Advertising verses a FS ad. Robin already mention he is trying to work things out. If you have a beef with the way the site is ran... Take it to the source. These passive aggressive attempts are below you and odin

Unless he's selling whole games, new fees wouldn't apply regardless. Parts and mods are exempt.

So who do you think is going to answer that question for you... John from Canada... or Robin? Where is the appropriate place to bring these questions up?

As I said, there are mistakes on the page - if you see something that seems too expensive (or too cheap) let me know and I will consider revising it. Certainly $300 for a drum unit board seems out of line, and $90 for a wiper arm too. The problem is with over 5,000 parts some slip through without proper review.

If you want to send me the part numbers I can see what we can do about the pricing.

Buy with confidence. John (John's Jukes aka flippers.com) has been an invaluable resource to the pinball community over the 30+ years he's been around. I don't believe he is competing with the normal suppliers, but a niche and wealth of hard to find parts. He is a genuine nice guy with a true-heart in the industry before it became such a hobby.

If you don't like the price, you really don't have to buy (but I'm sure someone else out there who wants it, will!).

Just sticking up for a fellow Canadian who has helped us out a lot over the years.

Thank you for the post. We have adjusted a few prices based on feedback, more items from other manufacturers coming within the next few weeks but please call or email if you have a special request.

    Cheers,
