I've read the comments but I might be picking up a hook with a few switch problems, needs new rubbers just a normal shop job. Is it worth getting and if so any thoughts on price range.

I think you JUST missed a thread on Hook that's no less than a week old. You might want to check there. Lots of gameplay and pricing information. From what I remember, people were a bit polarized.

Personally, I've never played- so I'm no help.

Hope this helps!

Thankyou! basically unless you can pick it up cheap its not worth it. Good to know, wish there was a place locally that had EVERY pin to test out. Lol I'm Dreaming

I like the game, but while some of it is sort of clunky it's the unbalanced scoring that makes it less fun than it really could be.

If Chad or someone else could work on the scoring, it would make a lot of difference in game play/strategy. But not sure if anyone will ever work on the ROM at this date.

Still, I think it's a game worth having.

That's the way to do it. Don't ever buy a machine because someone else raves or hates a machine. If you can go play it, test it out , and like it, then buy it. If you play it and don't like it, are any of the opinions worth anything? Just say no, thank you.

If your buying it to flip, then that is a whole other animal. I don't think that is what you are doing.

No definatly not flipping, its my hobby but I do look at it as a investment as well. Don't want to lose money down the road if and when I decide to trade or sell ya know. It's all about research

If you have young kids, they will probably like it.
I'd pick up another one under 1k. It's a good looking pin.
