Yeah. Little guy never stood a chance. I guess that's what karma does to you when you eat your person.
I just wanted to settle up and say that I was very kindly helped out with the Queequeg plastic from some very kind Pinsiders!
Quoted from ChadH:Does anyone have an X-Files that lives in the Chicagoland area that would lend it to me? I would like to do a code update for this game but I need to get my hands on an actual game for an extended period of time in my basement.
I have done several code updates that can be found here:

Please PM me if you are interested.
Thanks!
Please for the love of god somebody do this. We need ChadCode for this game...
Quoted from ChadH:does Audit 83 (Video Mode Started) or Audit 84 (Video Mode Complete) ever increase to anything above 00 for you?
On the few X-Files I've played occasionally there's that like weird Trivia section with weird questions and weirder answers. Maybe that's what counts as the video mode?
Personally, I'm not totally sure why this game gets as much flack as it does. Possibly just because there isn't as obvious as a connection between modes and the final goal like people were expecting of this era of pin? Possibly because the multi-ball is stupidly easy to start? Not super sure those things can be fixed with code, but I'm excited to see what you end up doing with it Chad. Love the game a lot.
Quoted from Watkinsd13:Hello. Recently turned on x files to find that only the general illumination is working on the playfield. I have never worked on a sega machine and feel a bit lost. Where should I start looking to get this solved?
Damn, so the game doesn't boot, you get no attract lights, no DMD, and NOTHING happens when you turn it on other than GI?
You're going to want to start with your CPU but you've got a lot of work ahead of you.
