On ebay, you can search for an item, and then click the advanced filters on the left to show only the sold listings. This gives you a solid price that a game sold for previously, along with dates. Bostonpinball.biz has aggregated these sales for years, however, it only shows year-over-year data. If you want a month-to-month, you'll have to do the digging.

Yeah! Rick and Morty, Pinball Market Trends, and TWIPY Talk!
Quoted from FatPanda:I know I'm a couple weeks late, but I gotta say, Dennis really killed Market Trends. dennisk you should seriously consider doing MT at least 1x a month...
But the world is a better place without ANY Market Trends. So you see my dilemma...
Quoted from DennisK:But the world is a better place without ANY Market Trends. So you see my dilemma...
This week’s market trends was interesting. Not content with just reporting the movement of pinball machine prices, rising AS prices were forecasted BEFORE it happens. As in since it is going to happen and if we add that point to the chart now and then connect the dots with a line, it should be obvious there is an upwards trend - told ya so.
Congrats to Zach of TWIP for developing the world’s most sophisticated data analytics tool. Non-linear regression analysis and polynomials are not for babies, nor those with weak stomachs or digestive problems. Now every Quant and Day Trader in the Midwest is shaking in their sneakers and worried about losing their job to an intelligent computer model (that doesn’t really exist )
Market Trends has run its course, wandered off trail, shot itself in the head and drowned, face down in the creek. Pinned to its back was a note reading - goodbye cruel world. Meantime, Deal of the Week is “trending up” and always provides good value.
— a concerned listener
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Meantime, Deal of the Week is “trending up” and always provides good value.
I'm surprised you were supportive of this week's Deal of the Clear-Zach's-Showroom-Floor-of-Used-Stock Week (DotCZSFoUSW is the technical term for the segment; not stated for obvious reasons). I've often wondered if truly great deals are pointless to cover as they'd likely sell even before the episode releases, but that is speculative on my part (I never checked). If they were funny, like some of Slam Tilt's Would You Buy That segments, it would be another matter (based around entertainment rather than really trying to find someone a deal).
If I had my druthers, we'd do a listener poll and drastically scale back the TWIP Podcast segments to a really tight, limited quantity (say, 5-8 of them). No new ones allowed without permanently sacrificing an approved one, and may only allow that a couple times per year. What I would keep (no particular order):
1) Road TWIP (good for fun pinball-related journey stories)
2) What You TWIPin' (nice way to discuss games people on are presently playing; particularly good with guest hosts)
3) Pinball Subconscious (see? I like something Zach created!)
4) Flippers & Foils (it's a decent game that no other pinball show I'm aware of is doing)
5) Why Zach is Wrong (the healthy segment created by Dwight Sullivan to review all the wrong stuff Zach says; it's good to teach the host humility)
That's it. I'd definitely ditch TWIP That Tune (already dead but I always frown upon lame excuses for non-singers to subject people to their singing), Market Trends (made up, unless I do it and I don't want to so kill it), "Whoever" the Top 100 (boring? Who cares what I think the Top 100 pins are anyway?), and The Showdown (good idea except the main host will only defend games and picks poor candidates for debate; there's a reason it only happened once).
The rest I'm relatively neutral on I guess. Though note I count DotCZSFoUSW as this sort of add-on appendage to Market Trends since it's always tied to the end of it, and thus it dies when MT dies.

Good points? Ehh maybe some. However, the minute I take podcast production tips from a man that enjoys documentaries about Jazz, someone please slap me as the Kriesel has obviously altered my neurological functioning. Having said that, my opinion is that fresh ideas are always welcome and much better than mandating a yearly limit on creativity. (Let the record show that a single warm tear from my left eye trickled down my cheek when hearing about capping the creative process....then, a tear from that tear’s eye trickled down its bulbous waterform as well. See Dennis, you can’t stop Creative Inception! #science #numbersdontliebutYOUDO)
Quoted from ZMeny:...someone please slap me ...
6) TWIP My Faceoff - new segment that ends with one of you getting slapped silly every week.
7) What happened to impersonations and voices? Can we get Alvin Jones and Smeagol to stop by the studio to record? Add in a sprinkle of Trump, Dr Phil (watchout Ken Cromwell) and Arnold and you can light that candle!

You can have creativity without it manifesting as a new segment each time. You have no idea how similar your approach is to jazz, constant improv-style creation (with a high rate of failure as the price you pay for the concepts not really baking long enough coupled with your unilateral creative process).

Zach and I are too far away for #6, I don't approve of arbitrary violence, and I don't want Zach touching me.
The voices stopped because there were no more polls/surveys from TWIP to talk about! Or that's my theory.
Is it me or did this thread just morph into that old married couple who snipe each other at public gatherings?
If only one of them was a licensed counselor, maybe they would work through it.

I have to say, TWIP is a totally different animal with Dennis as the co-host. Much more entertaining, the banter back and forth is excellent. I'm just sad it's only every other week.
The evidence is clear, with Dennis TWIP is the best podcast in pinball. Polynomials don't lie!
Quoted from Raegor:They need to bang and get it over with...
DK doesnt want Zach touching him, pay attention.

That's very kind of you to say, but I think it's good to get a diverse set of voices heard, all talking about the latest news in pinball, and that's a nice thing that TWIP Podcast provides. Granted, the dynamic varies (everyone has their own personality and when you're not on often how you might approach the show could differ versus someone who does it a lot) but I think it can generate some fun discussions to listen to!

While that may be true, Dennis, those other hosts just don't bring the secret sauce you and Zach can generate!

My secret sauce is Maple Syrup... :/
Dennis and Zach work because of their differences.
Dennis can whip up a honey potion to make any discussion go his way, like 100% of the time. Dennis listens to jazz while practicing his sorcery. Dennis abhors violence of any kind towards people, plants or animals. When Dennis goes to bed - he tosses and turns as he thinks about the things of the day and worries about being able to meet deadlines and wonders about significant world issues. Dennis is a pleasure to be around and everybody loves him. Dennis has two dogs that are happy to respond to his every command.
Zach puts whip cream and honey on his waffles every day. Zach watches porn while writing up his patient sessions. Zach was a bully who was kicked out of high school once. Zach falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow and sleeps like a baby. Zach has a lot of issues like snoring, which rudely keeps Nichole and four kids awake too. Zach wants a 4" Kreisel for his pocket so he can practice voodoo on Dennis and cause him pain. Zach's dog doesn't care for his master.

The syrup discussion was pretty funny and I thought you did a great job on the podcast!
BTW, do Canadians pronounce it “Sur-up” or “Seer-up”?

Thanks fella. It's a seer-up kinda country I think.

Don't forget aboot your Country's bacon, it goes well with seer-up. You did a great job on TWIP - David Dennis. Makes me think of the best things from Canada. That should be it's own thread or it could have been a topic of conversation on TWIP.
From Canada I like:
Bacon, Maple Syrup, Scenery, Mountains, Hot Springs & Wildlife
Anna Paquin, Rachel McAdams, Tommy Chong, Michael J. Fox & Mike Myers
Neil Young, Avril Lavigne, Michael Buble', The Weekend, Bryan Adams & Justin Bieber

Eerily close analysis of me Jeff, minus the whole porn while writing up sessions notes, my porn watching is done as I’m prepping new segments for the TWIPcast

This is approximately 22.5% accurate.

Google better. It was the late 90s

I think Stern is saying it is the first time that type of tech has been used in a pinball machine this way.
This Week in Pinball Podcast: Episode 76 with Dennis Kriesel
https://www.thisweekinpinball.com/this-week-in-pinball-podcast-episode-76-with-dennis-kriesel/
Someday I'm gonna go off the deep end and start a "Super duper awesome podcast about pinball and Dennis Kriesel" podcast solely for the purpose of gettin' me one of them there TWHIPYs.
It'll cover all things Pinball, 4", and full size Kriesel related.
Just gotta find someone from Pizza Northeast to be a "Kriesel correspondent".
I can't believe Zach doesnt already have one of those.
Also DK is right about R&M.
A vast majority of the sales are driven by the R&M theme.
Not to take anything away from Danesi as he is doing great things over there at Spooky, I just dont think his design is the driving factor in sales.
Didn't the 750 sell out before anyone had seen any real gameplay or even a full description of features?
If so that would lend itself to DK's argument.
